토르노에스 호텔(Tornøes Hotel)

Nice hotel, really comfortable and quiet. I like it overall But I was shocked when I realized that instant coffee was served for breakfast. This is a no go for me and not acceptable. Please take the time and adjust cost to serve real coffee!!!

We stayed one night on a road trip to the island of Funen. The hotel has about 40 rooms and is centrally located in the town of Kerteminde. Limited parking is available in front of the hotel, where there is also a terrace, making it possible to dine or having a drink outside. The main road is passing close to the hotel, which should be noted if you are a light sleeper. We had booked a package, but were checked in without any information about afternoon coffee or dinner, which were both included in our rate. In fact, the inexperienced person who checked us in seemed quite confused about what we had booked, but finally we managed to make a table reservation for dinner. Our room was spacious, clean and reasonably quiet. A small sample of sweets from a local candy store was a nice touch and the bed was okay. The furniture could do with an update and the signal strength of the wifi in our room was too weak to my telephone. The included dinner was not up to our expectations. The food was okay without being great, whereas the service was poor. The waiter seemed very inexperienced and without basic knowledge of the food. The wine card was adequate with a number of good wines, and the white wine we chose was excellent. When we got our main course we actually ordered half a bottle of red wine too, but it never came and the waiter did not show up until after we had finished our course. The dessert seemed to have been prepared well in advance and was a disappoin**ent. Breakfast again was okay without being great. The only hot dish was boiled eggs. We may have been unfortunate and may give it another try, but our expectations were definitely not met.

Everyone will enjoy this cosy, good quality hotel. Right in the center of Kerteminde. Walking distance, to the harbour, shops , cafe,s etc. Really good food, and service. As i am a little handicapped, our rooms were exchanged, so I could use the elevator. A very nice, cosy room. With a modern bathroom. We will certainly come again, many thanks too all.

We enjoyed our stay so close to the sea. We chose this hotel for it's location and the fact that the hotel brews its own beer. Several beers were unavailable to our dismay. The restaurant was lovely and food delicious, worth the wait. Service friendly.
