페른 그로토 인(Fern Grotto Inn)

We stayed in Coco Unit C. It was everything we had hoped it would be. Spotless in every regard. Super comfy bed and pillows and wonderful windows on two sides. Great to have a drip coffee maker and coffee bean grinder for the morning brew. Shower is out of this world with two seperate shower heads with lots of pressure. Huge! We took a 2 hour ride with the bikes along the ocean one morning and kayaked the river at sunset. Wifi, tv & music! Safeway is within walking distance as well as a ton of eating options and food trucks. Lastly, I want to mention the great management and staff. Wonderful people! We travel a lot and always enjoy finding a gem of a place like Fern Grotto Inn.

Such a sweet cottage with everything anyone could need. Much more relaxing than a resort or block of condos. We used fins mask and snorkels twice, which was great! Also there are many coolers available, including a backpack one that we used three times. Bikes are in a bit of disrepair, but we did manage a nice ride on the nearby bike path. Coco A has an awesome back yard with table and chairs. Highly recommend Fern Grotto!!

The Fern Grotto Inn was convenient, comfortable and has wonderful amenities. Our unit was clean and updated with modern kitchen appliances and a modern tiled, two shower head shower. Even had an Alexa that we enjoyed listening to Hawaiin music on. We used the bikes, a cooler, and ice was provided for the coolers. There were also kayaks and boogie boards to borrow, that we didn't have a chance to use. It is conveniently located not far from the airport, making a drive to Princeville or Waimea easy trips. This place thought of everything, including welcome gifts on arrival!

From the moment we walked onto the property, we knew this was a special place. The extra personal touches made us feel so welcome. This little cottage retreat has everything you need!! Such a wonderful place. I can’t wait to send clients here!!

We rented the Canal B unit for 1 week and rented the Ohana House for another week when our young adult daughters joined us. Canal B with its screened in porch was perfect for us for the first week and there was loads of room for our family with the House. Both units had a wonderful supply of kitchen tools and extra touches to make both units special. The Inn was generous with the supplies inside the units or for ice coolers, ice packs, beach gear or beach towels. It was easy to use the BBQs and outdoor settings. The grounds are beautiful; peaceful and private, especially with all the trees and greenery. The units are spaced out so you have a lot of privacy. It was very peaceful on the grounds at night. It was terrific to use the bikes and the staff were maintaining & changing out bike seats on one of the days of our stay. The units and its supplies seemed well maintained. It was terrific to use the washer & dryers that were in excellent shape as well. The kayaks and paddle boards are terrific and we had a terrific time on the river. We don't get to use kayaks very often, but we found it easy and so peaceful to paddle up the river. It was also terrific to be able to purchase extra time for a late checkout, especially when we were flying home at 11pm that night. It made the last day of our lovely stay even more relaxing and carefree. There are wonderful restaurants and shops within a 10 or 20 walk from the Inn. The Lyngate Beach is a 15 minute walk for a swimming beach. The Wailua Beach is great to walk along or watch the surf. Thank you to Paul and the wonderful staff of the Inn. The units were very clean and as decribed in photos. Paul was available for questions/concerns and there was great communication from the Inn. We will return to this wonderful Inn again.

My husband and I stayed in Coco Unit C for our honeymoon and the Fern Grotto Inn was the perfect place to stay. The grounds were very pretty; appreciated the free beach/kayak/snorkeling/bikes gear; onsite laundry; outdoor spaces and chairs to relax. Stocked kitchen with appliances made it easy to make our own meals; coffee; and keep groceries fresh. We enjoyed the views from our room, the updated bathroom, and local hawaiian decor around the space. We were sad to leave and definitely would come here again!

I walked into immaculately kept grounds, chairs and chaise lounges thoughtfully placed to provide areas in which to enjoy the scenery, mingle, or reflect. The cottage was clean and welcoming- including local music, chocolates, etc. from Kauai, definitely an aloha vibe. The Inn was perfectly stocked for either a day at the beach (chairs, coolers, ice, mats), or a kayak trip up the river. I would definitely return- perfectly charming and slightly off the beaten path.

Wonderful spot in a great location just south of Kapaa. Quick out to the south or to road around into Kapaa as well as into Kapaa. Cottages are located right on creek, easyish to launch kayaks. Even though place was near capacity we rarely ran across the people in the other cottages. Ours was Garden and it was beautifully appointed

Amazing! We loved this place! From the beauty surrounding us, being on the river, the solitude (if you want it), the free use of the kayaks, bikes, snorkeling gear, bikes and the fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning, it was all wonderful! We stayed in canal cottage a which has a full kitchen, tv, bed, bathroom and excellent breeze! The kitchen and outside grill was handy when we wanted to cook some of the fresh fish we bought at the local market. Paul, the host was very kind, considerate and helpful!
