A very beautiful lodge with the most stunning view of the sunrise. Clean, elegant, spacious rooms, amazing food and a good selection of wine. The staff was super polite and friendly. The swimming pool is very inviting so don't forget your swimming costume. The road to the lodge is really in bad condition, they could certainly do something about it but when you finally arrive it is a stunning place.

Stayed here for 2 days as part of the northern circuit safari tour. The views across the Rift Valley were breathtaking the rooms luxurious and the services superb. Staff were friendly, courteous and professional. Food excellent and a lovely relaxing infinity pool . My only not so positive point would be the approach to the hotel - we were used to ( and expected) bumpy roads but this one was particularly challenging - more like driving though a quarry than a road of any description ! We did it 4 times during our stay and out poor guide had to do this journey 8 times. Fully appreciate it was in a remote location and we were in a developing country but it became quite challenge when the rains arrived. I am wondering if such a large hotel chain could invest a bit 8n the local infrastructure ?

What an amazing place to stay. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. The room was clean, well looked after and the view was incredible. The service was exceptional, especially Chaz who looked after us most of our time there. He was very professional, kind & overall outstanding customer service. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful lodge, view and people here. Food and drinks terrific. The staff throughout the resort were terrific as were the accommodations, Fantastic great room lodge building with bar, lounging area and dining room. Road up to the lodge was challenging due to the rains.

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our Tanzania Safari. This trip was our honeymoon, and the hotel pulled out all the stops for us. They picked us up in a “Just Married” golf cart and drove us to our room, which was upgraded to the premium suite with the best view. They decorated our room, and gave us cake and a free bottle of Prosecco at dinner. It also seemed as though every single employee at the hotel came by at some point to congratulate us. They made us feel so special, and really went above and beyond. On top of all the effort they made, the hotel is also beautiful. Our room was so comfortable, and had the best view of the sunrise.

Loved this property. Our first lodge on our safari and exceeded expectations. Warm greeting, spacious and well appointed rooms. The lobby and main area is fabulous with beautiful chandeliers and african furnishings.The bar is inviting and comfortable seating on the veranda. The food was good as well. Our visit was short but would recommend this property if your travels allow.

The main lodge is a grand building with a beautiful lounge, a grand dining room, an impressive bar and a view out to the infinity pool. It feels like a slice of history. It is gorgeous. Our room was very large with a large, comfortable bed, inside and outside showers, a bath, comfortable chairs and loungers and a terrace with beautiful views over the Rift Valley. Heaven. At night, mosquito nets give the room a “four-poster” feel. Also each night, chocolates “magically” appeared!!! The food was excellent with a wide range of options local, Western and vegetarian options with lunch and dinner always four courses. If you were on safari, their lunch boxes were excellent with a large range of options. Best of all was the service. Pascal, the F&B manager was wonderful. He was professional but very friendly and funny. He made me and the family feel so at home. Terrific. I could not recommend this lodge more highly. It made our time in Lake Manyara very special. I would note that Wellworth is a Tanzanian-owned business and the staff all appear to be local and happy. Everything is Karibu Sana!

Great choice to stay while visiting Lake Manyara. During our drive to Ngorongoro, we also stayed in a lodge not far away from Kilimamoja, and while the lodge (Kitela) was also fine, it was not that far from Kilmamoja and had I known we would have glady returned to stay there again as it is excellent. The Villas are vary spacious, have all amenities you may need, ours had 3 showers (1 Shower inside, 1 outside and a stylish bathtab). I enjoyed an outside shower at sunset with a stunning view at the valley. Before that I hung by the pool and had some coctails. The dining hall is very nice and the food was just excellent. The biggest asset, as in most lodges during our travel were the staff. Amazing service from everybody. I had stomach issues when we arrived (elevation sickness from climbing the Kilimanjaro), and the staff were able to help me with some medication. Highly recommendable- Asante Sana to everybody at Kilimamoja!

The facility is beautiful with stunning views. However, staff there really rubbed us the wrong way. We are usually very generous in tipping, but several times when we declined necessary services, staff there would forcefully perform the service for tips. For example, I was carrying a small bag myself and someone came to offer assistance, I then declined it saying I could handle the small bag myself. But the staff still forcefully grabbed the item from me. Another time I stepped out of my room to watch the stars, a staff member immediately ran over to offer flashlight for our walk. Even after we’ve politely declined them telling them that we wanted to just wander around the property looking at the stars, they still stayed walking along our side with the flashlight for our tips. All these really rubbed us the wrong way and I don’t think I will return to this hotel when I come back for another visit.
