Lovely modern and clean hotel just a few minutes walk from the centre of Kaprun. Staff friendly and welcoming. We had a superior room and the balcony had fantastic views. Beds comfortable and bathrooms modern and clean. A lovely cozy feel throughout the family run hotel. Nice bar area and the barman remembered our usual drinks each time which was a nice touch. Around 3pm there are cakes, really yummy, and some sort of nibbles like hotdogs or goulash, great if you’ve just gone from the piste. Restaurant nicely decorated and large selection on the starter buffet followed by choices of mains etc. The pizzas were tasty and great value. The pool area was great for 5/10 mins in the snow then warm up in the sauna or hot tub. A very lovely stay and we will certainly stay again.

We had a a great stay in one of the apartments..and yet, could benefit from all the hotel services, from the very charming & well equipped spa, to the useful tips from the receptionists..etc The apartment was truly comfy and had everything we needed to cook, and very airy with lots of windows with a view of the mountains. One thing that really stood out is the efficiency and kindness of the people working at this family run hotel, including the owners, they did everything to make our stay smooth and pleasant…we will definitely go back there…I strongly recommend it.

The appartment was compact but worked perfectly for a weeks skiing for a family of 4. Beds were very comfy and had all the amenities we needed. 10 mins walk to the ski lift and ski school. The hotel itself was lovely and the pool and spa was great. Really recommend!

We had a lovely stay in Hotel Sonnblick. It was great to return after so many years. Kaprun is a lovely village and the hotel is very convenient to the village and the ski lifts. The room was very comfortable, with lovely views, being from Ireland we would have enjoyed tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The pool and saunas were great and just what is needed after a day on the slopes. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We would love to visit again.

Great family owned hotel with a warm team of staff ready to support any time. Location is perfect - walking distance to the ski lift where you can store your skis (Maiskogel). Very nice breakfast and half board food + the barmen is always ready to prepare a new cocktail. Kaprun itself is a very nice place with stores, restaurants, after ski opportunities. Outdoor swimming pool is heated as promised at 31-32 Celsius, great !! Only recommendations for improvement : coffee machines or water boiler & tea to be added in the room. Can improve the variety of the starters across the week. Also if textile could be used / allowed / recommended in the spa area would be great. I strongly recommend this place for trips with family and / or friends.

We stayed in the studio apartment which was small, but big enough to sleep, we didn’t cook meals, only had breakfast in our apartment. The apartment was clean and modern. The building itself is pretty and authentic. We had a beautiful Mountain View. The hotel is just around the corner, we used the spa & pool a couple of times which was fun. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. Restaurants & bars are less than 10mins walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year.

Accomodation in appartement was very nice, a lot of space, modern kitchen, equipment was very rich, modern toalet. It is calm place . Supermarket and bus stop is near accomodation. Advantage is that Zell am See is only 9 km distant witg very good bus connection. There is a lot of opportunities to use cableways. Very good is sommer card you get.

From the minute we walked through the door the service was outstanding. The desk staff were very welcoming and offered useful tips for exploring the area. We stayed in one of the apartments. It was great having our own space. The bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the soft down pillows. The meals were excellent! The dining room staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. We love the half board option! Unfortunately some of our hiking plans were thwarted by a September snowfall. We‘ll have to return. And if we do we would love to stay at Hotel Sonnblick again.
