We stayed here as a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children (10, 7 and 2yrs old) at the end of April, start of May 2024. The hotel mostly looks great, main pool area is very nice, loungers very comfortable. The main lifts and hallways to the rooms are dated. The staff are very friendly and helpful, a real asset to this hotel. We found the main buffet to be fine. We had nice bottles of wine with our evening meals, a nice touch, as usually with AI it’s self service wine which is usually terrible. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy with plenty of storage, well stocked mini fridge with cans of juice and fresh bottles of water. Nespresso pods also supplied which was a nice touch. Be prepared for everything to be very slow… check in, pleasant but took ages! Not ideal late at night after a long day travelling with children. The bars.. beach bar was lovely but the queues got really tedious towards the end of our stay. Not ideal having an adult away queuing for ages when you’re holidaying with children. Main bar in hotel lobby is a similar situation. Facilities for children at this hotel are non existent. There were two slides at the children’s pool which they closed half way through our stay because of an issue with the steps. The hotel had only just reopened, it was frustrating that this hadn’t been looked at and sorted before reopening for the season. The children’s pool area I would say needs some attention, hardly any sun loungers and not a bin to be seen. The beach is great, beach shoes a must have. Bus stop right outside the hotel which we used and found to be very straight forward for getting to Rhodes Town etc. Overall we had an enjoyable stay, the staff were great and it’s clean but we wouldn’t choose to stay here as a family again. I wouldn’t be put off by the recent reviews if you’ve booked to stay here, it just wasn’t that suitable for our needs. A few tweaks would vastly improve this lovely hotel.
