Such a cute and reasonably priced place! I love the simple, clean Scandinavian design and front desk folks were lovely and always accessible by text if needed. Room balcony overlooked the water and great restaurants close by. Loved by stay and you will too!

Talta was great! We stayed for a wedding at Smugglers Notch. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The lodge was very clean, comfortable and modern. The hot tub was wonderful with a view of the woods. The pool was very nice and clean as well. There are also trails right from the property into town. We will be back!

The first thing i was greeted with was a smile and beer on tap! What?! Checkin was quick and easy. The room was excellent and the grounds even better! A+!

A great place to stay! Staff was welcoming and accommodating, the rooms were nice and cozy, and the property was lovely. The overall design of the place was exceptional. Five stars!

Great hotel for the price. Close to the town, with great views of the river. It would have been nice to have better lighting in the room and a full-length mirror. It was also a bit noisy, but our room was near the reception, so noise was coming from the hallway (not other rooms). Very friendly and helpful staff, with great quality coffee in the common areas.

Love this place! On the "good to know" side, you should be aware going in that the bathroom is a little tight. If you are a very large person you may feel cramped. We were fine, but could see someone being uncomfortable. Also, some of the decks off the rooms are facing the parking lot. So you should confirm if you want to make sure you get one facing the river on the backside of the hotel. But we loved our stay at Talta. It has a great vibe and everyone we talked to on staff was incredibly friendly and super helpful. The room was extremely comfortable. The bed was amazing. Water pressure in the shower was probably the best of any hotel we've stayed at. The balcony overlooking the river was great (we had the deluxe queen room). The bike shed to store our bikes was a phenomenal addition. We were able to pretty much ride right onto the Stowe Recreation Path. Hot tub looking out on the river was very relaxing. We wish we had stayed in-season as the "community room" downstairs seems like a great place to hang out, with its own bar. I think the fact that there was craft beer on tap at the check-in counter was a great sign that we'd be comfortable there. It's not a fancy place, but super clean and extremely comfortable.

The place is set up like a hybrid motel lodge style. Room was cute with a deck and chairs. Heat unit was difficult to figure out with no explanation anywhere. All light switches on the wall went to nothing. All lights were manual. Other than those oddities, the place was comfortable and convenient. Bed was super comfy and shower was amazing.

We were only there for one night but the entire time wished we had gone for a long weekend. From the rooms, to the amenities, to the outdoor area. It is all wonderfully decorated, clean as can be and a bargain for the price!

Renovated and super clean. I enjoyed the heated pool and sauna after a day of skiing. Bonus points for local beers on tap and the coffee bar! I’ll be returning for sure!
