고르발른스 슬로트(Gorvalns Slott)

The perfect place to get away for a night or two. It’s was my second time here and I will definitely come back. Beautiful castle with unique style and decor. All rooms are individually styled with a luxurious touch and the most comfortable beds you can imagine. The castle it self had a long and exciting history and we felt the presence of old times lurking in the background. The surroundings are amazing and there are nice trails all around the castle area. The castle has its own gardens where all the flowers come from and the flower arrangements are worth a visit just for themselves 🌺🌸🌺 the castle is an “adults only” hotel, so a perfect getaway with your partner or friends. It feels far away but Stockholm City is close by in car. 100% recommended

A lovely venue but aweful food and service. The food took almost an hour to arrive and once it did (after having to follow it up) the meat was unhygienically raw and the expensive salad was literally just lettuce. When we gave constructive feedback the staff were not at all service minded and never came back to us with an apology or response. An expensive bad experience.

This is a dream come true! I love staying at heritage and princess kind of hotels, and this one ticked all the boxes for me. The beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the slott (castle), repurposed into a hotel, will transport you to a wonderland. The rooms are boutique and you got to stay in each one to experience it. My room had a small walk in/ welcome area before entering the bedroom. The bathroom had a heated floor. The dinner was set up outside in a closed tent and was delicious! The service all the way from when you arrive till you leave is just perfect. Just walking down to the edge of Lake Malaren in the evening will bring you the much needed solace!

A wonderful stay at a beautiful place! The hotel and its surroundings are breath taking. The food is brilliant.

A surprising experience with very unconventional decor. Impressive, whether you like it or not. Got a very nice, very quiet and functional double standard room in Villa Solbacka with fridge and plenty of storing space. Green view and comfy beds. Spectacular bathroom. 10 min walk to the 17th century castle with two stories decorated in unusual colours bridging past and present. A matter of taste but a fascinating setting. Excellent home made breakfast served in elegant saloon with high ceilings. Huge park facing lake Mälaren with many criss-cross paths, also for longer walks. Helpful check-in, otherwise mixed service.

It was amazing! The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was clean. The restaurant was excellent.

We stayed here last weekend and booked a package including Chris**as dinner. Two quick points; First, we have stayed here once before and the hotel is just as fantastic as it was a few years ago. Second, I was a complete dunce and booked the Friday night thinking I had booked Saturday - but the hotel was so kind to re-book me for the Saturday night after calling me on Friday evening to ask where I was! I don't really have much else to say about the hotel that hasn't been said in the other reviews, but what I would say is that the Chris**as dinner was fantastic. Malin, who waited our table, did an amazing job talking us through the menu and bringing out the food without rushing us. She was polite and professional and the hotel should be proud of staff like her. I am already looking forward to next Chris**as :)

Görväln levererar på miljön. Omgivningarna är fina... rummen med de närmast mytiska sängarna är alltid bra. Bemötandet i receptionen är glatt och trevligt. Dessvärre måste det sägas (igen): Restaurangens middagsservering håller inte vad svansföring online och prissättning lovar. Själva maten är ojämn. Personalen var – å**instone den kvinnliga servitrisen – trevlig. T o m sprudlande trevlig. Men presentationer existerade inte. Allt levereras mekaniskt (vi åt den 'fasta' menyn). Vinkunskapen var inte märkbar. En inlagd gurka (tror jag) mördade torsken, som saknade spänst. Det är inte dyrt att få en fyrarätters för 825:- Men det är ett högt pris för vad Galleriet på Görväln levererar. Restaurangen har varit ställets akilleshäl i åratal och jag hade verkligen gillat att bli överraskad. Damen som serverade ingav hopp (hon var fenomenalt glad). Men... eftersom några alternativ inte existerar på Görväln så MÅSTE middagen vara bättre. Frukosten var bra. Ordinär. Kändes något snål jämfört med tidigare besök, men där och då lämnade man matsalen som en nöjd gäst. Middagen är alltjämt det område där Görväln har förbättringspotential. Please, do better. Det skulle göra skillnad.

Övernattning vid genomresa på väg från Umeå till Halland. Hade sett bilder från slottet tidigare och tyckt att det såg trevligt ut. Då priset på ett dubbelrum var helt överkomligt slog vi till. Om vi ångrade oss? Nej verkligen inte. Fantastiskt boende i superfin miljö, god mat och trevlig service. Ett kanonställe helt enkelt 30 minuter från centrala Stockholm. Hit kommer vi garanterat flera gånger.
