For a very basic hostel type room, the price charged was too much. Greedy owner. Very small and low class guest house. Rooms were all stinking. Food was ok but expensive according to the place.

Spent a weekend with my family (including 2 dogs) at the resort. The place itself is an interesting experience being the one of the largest salt pans in India and developed during British times, replete with a working train system to carry the salt from production sites. Sambhar Heritage resort is well maintained. The staff lead by Vinod Meena, Mukesh Saini and Dilip is very courteous and cooperative and ensures a memorable time for all their guests. Recommended for families and couples looking for a quiet relaxing weekend.

Sambhar heritage Lake resort has 18 tents.I went on 7th march 2023.It was damn hot.I travelled from Gurgaon to Phulera junction in train and auto to Jhapok .400rs auto.The tent was super hot as AC were turned ON when we checked-in.We quickly took shower.cold water enough and had veg lunch at restaurant .No non-veg available .Veg food is super costly .And took same auto to shakambari mata temple .650rs auto from resort.1 hr drive through salt lake.good n nice view.Temple is super good and view is fantastic .On the way back i had heat stroke and vomited 7 times with headache .All the way from temple to resort.Then slept and took some rest in tent.At 6pm total blackout inside the tent as no electricity.There was a generator fault and it took hours to come.Sunset from the resort is lovely .Staff are friendly .Amenities ,facilities are good,Food is tasty .But expensive and only veg.Alcohol only at tent .Next day a Train ride to Salt production.1200rs per person ,big train and 700rs per person small train.I suggest do not take the train ride ,instead walk through the salt lake early morning before 8am or in evening after 6PM.And u can see much better the salt colour.The train ride as promised 1hr is only 20-30min .Not more than that.Depends upon how much u click pictures.We took a walk and got PK movie TRAIN TRACK and Super30 movie salt production scene also.Train ride will not show u these things .The place is super super Hot during March till November.Not suggesting anyone to visit as I vomited ,headache the whole afternoon on check-in day.claustrophobic though .Buy water bottles from outside small shops and some colddrinks from station phulera or Jaipur.There is kettle,AC,TV,Fridge ,nice washroom,shower,intercom everything inside the tent.Its a luxury tent.But expensive 8800 per night+breakfast..Visit circuit house and kothi by heritage resort also.Phulera station is big and very good. and clean also.Overall Good weekend stay .But property needs maintenance and renovation.Spa is there.And swimming pool under renovation .

Sambhar heritage resort is a unique experience in itself.. staying in a tent type cottages with all amenities with yummy food!!!!,salt lakes around,off roading in shakambhari mata ground.A rail tour with takes u around to see the salt making process and the flamingos!!!!Special shout out to Vinod ji who organised a rain dance party with disco lights and music for our kids made this trip memorable..

Excellent Location with Good Hospitality, Food was Exceptional, Thanks to Vinod ji,Prem ji,Dalip ji and Mukesh Banjara And whole Sambhar Lake Heritage Resort Team for making a memorable experience.Would love to be back again.

If one enjoys exploring places off the beaten track a bit, Sambhar will be an interesting place to stop off on your trip. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff all very friendly- in particular the *** who served us meals during our stay, who we are grateful to. He even brought us soup and desserts to our tent to enjoy, without being prompted. The rooms are clean, simple and nicely decorated. The views are good, but the tents are on the other side of the railway to the lake so not built right onto the lake. We were there in dry season so I’m sure the views are slightly more impressive when there is water. The tents are built with a view of the salt lake which has an interesting history. We enjoyed the bike ride and were able to go for a run around the lake which we liked. It was a peaceful stay, and we got to visit a neighbouring village and a nearby temple which was interesting to experience in the relatively remote location.
