Excellent hotel with great facilities and location, staff were friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic with a great choice, catering for one vegetarian , one gluten free and a child which loves pasta. So much to entertainment team kids clubs slides ect. Very clean hotel and definitely going back next year.

Another wonderful stay at Estival Islantilla. Second year running and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great location, lovely staff, excellent facilities. A warm welcome on arrival and 10 days of lounging by the pool, making much use of the hotel restaurants and bars and mooching round the local area. Really can't understand some of the negative comments. I think Brits just have a chip on their shoulder. And if they don't actually have something to moan about they'll just make something up. Luckily the hotel seems to cater largely for Spanish and Portuguese families which is fine by me.

The hotel is lovely, basic rooms, it’s set in a residential area so not much around, you have to travel quite a bit. There are a few shops not far away and a supermarket but not very impressive. Be prepared for the weekends to be very loud as the Spanish use the hotel as their break, and they are loud, they disappear on Monday. The beach outside the back door is a bonus and free beds with umbrella. The reception were helpful, especially the older male who spoke the most English.I did have a lovely week, I loved the hotel and beach, but it’s a bit out of the way for me. Do some research of the area I wish I had.

We have mixed feelings about this hotel. First of all the good points. It is good for families with small children. We can't complain about the pool area, plenty of sunbeds although they could do with a bit of a scrub, but it was towards the end of the season. Room great, we paid extra for a sea view but was upgraded with a junior suite. This was ok except it was directly over the children's play area and not far from the evening entertainment and as the glass stopped no noise at all it was extremely noisy. We found the bed very comfortable. The cleaning of the rooms wasn't exceptional although towels were regularly changed I don't think the floors were mopped. Food was surprisingly good even though we don't eat meat, although could be hotter and they don't seem to season the soup. One of the bathroom lights didn't work which made it hard to do make up etc, we asked for it to be changed and were promised it would be done, five days later it still hadn't been changed. The area is lovely if you like it quiet (which we do), miles of beach and a lovely promenade. The big downside for us and the reason we wouldn't return is there is no bar in the hotel. We had to go to the other side of the pool (in the pouring rain and wind) and it was more like a canteen with not enough seats. No inside toilets near the bar. We like to relax before dinner with a drink in the bar, you couldn't do that here. Drinks are served in almost pint hard plastic beakers, wine is almost topped up to the top which isn't very appealing. Spirits are spoilt with loads of fizzy lemonade/coke etc. To get into the dining room you need to go outside which isn't pleasant in wet, windy weather. We are not fussed with entertainment but with no nice bar to sit in there is nothing to do. All in all I think it's a lovely hotel, good location and good food and great for families but unfortuately because of the bar situation we will not be back.

Me and my best mate Dad just got back from a week here at the hotel, for mainly visiting my former Spanish girlfriend who lives in Huelva centre. Everything was absolutely brilliant with the staff, especially the room cleaners, which left money 💷 for them. The staff was like our close friend's for the week also, food was fantastic, didn't wait long to get served for many beer's. I'd say the only fault is that the bar was near the outside pool and when it rained it was dangerous walking to it and back into the hotel and it also come into the wooden structured bar a bit, should have bar/lounge in the lovely hotel.. Me and dad would definitely go back to it for a relaxing week.. We both enjoyed the hotel stay... 😊 🏩🇪🇸

We had a fantastic family holiday at this hotel. We have 2 kids, ages 3 and 1. We all loved the beach right on the doorstep and the pools were fun too. The best thing though was the food, the buffet offering was amazing every meal, with food from all over the world and local cuisine too. This very much felt like a Spanish resort, which we really enjoyed (felt like we were really on holiday!). One thing to note about this though is the meal times are also Spanish.. so dinner starting from 730 was an adjustment for us and the kids, but we did manage. We booked a junior suit with one double bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge, which we slept on. The sofa bed was pretty comfortable for a sofa bed, but was still a sofa bed.. so if I did it again I would book a room with 2 bedrooms. Hotel was well cleaned and staff were friendly. Would highly recommend for an easy, all inclusive family holiday.
