리우 두나마르 올 인클루시브(Riu Dunamar - All Inclusive)

If you get the free shuttle don’t take it. We waited about 3 hours. Hotel clean but entertainment staff for games and music were terrible. Food was ok nothing great

The Riu was very clean and staff was always pleasant. The food was okay, did not like that the Asian restaurant was buffet. Did not have to wait which was very nice and the waiters were always pleasant and attentive. The beach area was beautiful and very walkable. The rooms were always cleaned very well and hallways, walkways were also always very clean. Your staff does an excellent job!

What we liked was the drink cart at the pool, I haven't seen that other places.The bar service was great and there were places to get water in convenient locations. The pools,water park, and beach were all grouped together with plenty of chairs. What could be better is other RIUs had omelette stations where they would put in ingredients you pick. Our mini fridge was only refilled once for the week. Maybe someone to make churros would be good. Over all it was a great week.

I was good except at check out when they told us her transfer showed up 45 minutes early and they actually hadn’t

I will not come back to that Riu. Food was bad, no taste and all the same. The only nice thing was the beach and the water park for the kids.

I was there with my family 5 days. The food at the property was disgusting. The presentation was great but the taste was horrible. I had food at all the restaurants and none of them were good. The beds were hard and the pillows very uncomfortable. There was not good toiletries. The room smell was really bad. The bartenders around the pool were really nice and the beach was nice. The worst thing happened the last day when we where leaving. We had reserved our free transfer with destination services back to the airport, and they totally failed us! We didn’t have a way to go back to the airport. We asked the hotel manager for help and he couldn’t help us in any way. In our desperation to not lose our flight back home, we got a taxi to the airport and we got charged $280 ( dollars!!! Not pesos) It was our only option. That ruin our vacation. Do not go to Riu Dunamar-Costa mujeres.

There are a lot of negative reviews for this property. Take them with a grain of salt. Overall I would say it was not spectacular, but not terrible. The water slides were our biggest draw since we were traveling with our kids (11 and 15). They were really fun and fast, and open 10 to 5 every day except Monday; that info is hard to find online but it was posted at the property. Our favorite part was the beach. This RIU has a beautiful beach, nice soft sand, plenty of chairs. There is a rental place onsite where you can borrow snorkels, sailing equipment, kayaks, etc. There is also the option to rent waverunners. The wait staff (for drinks) does visit the beach but it seemed like it was a much longer wait than when we stayed at the RIU Palace in Playacar. They do bring you cups of pineapple, watermelon, and cucumber, which was very enjoyable! The pools were okay. Not as clean as I expected after the RIU Palace. The snack bar by the pool was not well kept and one day had empty ketchup packets, etc. strewn around. The dining options are thoroughly mediocre. We ate a little of everything and got a full belly every meal, but nothing was great. Often the food that should have been hot was cold, and the tastes were bland. Our room was quadruple occupancy, but they always brought two washcloths instead of four. Also, many of the wall outlets were faulty. It was hard to charge our devices because the plugs would pop right out of the outlets. But it was clean and comfortable.

The main buffet rstaurant is very smelly and there is terrible ventilation in it! Generally, if you are looking for a fancy experiance with fancy restaurants , this is not your place
