호텔 안나벨레(Hotel Annabelle)

Sure, you can stay in a standardised hotel chain anywhere in the world but there's nothing like arriving at the Hotel Annabelle on the island of Ischia and being greeted with a big smile by ...Annabelle! She's not so precocious as to name a hotel after herself (although I did ask) it was her parents who named it. The hotel is set in a quiet area but just 5 minutes walk from the bustling streets with bars, restaurants, ice cream, clothes and much more. We had a nice room next to the outdoor pool at the back of the hotel which was peaceful and had everything we needed. Ischia is well worth a visit. Just as sophisticated as glitzy Capri and a lot calmer than the craziness of horn-blowing Naples. The host, Annabelle, is a wealth of information with sight-seeing advice, bus times, ferry times, chats about the Italian football and a suggestion to try the local delicacy of rabbit. We didn't, but the restaurant she recommended was very good. Our 24 hours on Ischia were certainly enhanced by staying here.

We have just returned from the most wonderful 10 day stay at Hotel Annabelle. Where to start?? From the moment we arrived we were given the lovliest welcome by Annabella and Lucia and immediately felt at home. The hotel was everything we wanted and more - traditional, autentically Italian and so very pretty. Our room was sparkling clean with a huge comfortable bed,a fabulous (double) shower and a lovely balcony. The hotel is set only a few minutes walk from the port, beach and restaurants - easy. We loved the pool area which was so pretty and tranquil. Everything was just perfect. But even more than that, it was the family that made it even more special - Annabella, Lucia, Gennaro and Papa took us to in with such kindness and affection that melted our hearts. It was our first time to Ischia and Annabella went above and beyond every day with recommendations and directions - she knows everything about the island and nothing was too much trouble. We were blown absolutely blown away with the beauty of the island and the food is just world class. We adored our holiday in Ischia and it was an absolute delight to stay at Hotel Annablle. I could not recommend it highly enough. We hope to return next year and we would not even consider staying anywhere else. Grazie mille to all the family for your hospitality and hugs. Lucia, you are a diamond and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you. Papa, I promised you I would be able to speak to you in Italian the next time I see you and I'm working on that!. Gennaro, thanks for kindly seeing us through our slightly vino hungover breakfasts! And of course, Annabella - you only had to hear the sound of my flip-flops coming down the stairs and you were there with open arms - it's no wonder I was in tears when we were saying arrivederci! It was the perfect holiday, on the perfect island, in the perfect hotel. Ciao for now!!

What can I say, we loved our stay with the family that run this hotel. And that's how you have to view it, you are staying in a proper hotel but it's the family that run it that make your experience exceptional. Thank you to all of you! We stayed with a party of family and friends for a long weekend and had the most delightful time. Location is excellent, common areas and pool are great and exactly what they promise. Our room was tight but the owner had clearly warned us already so we were all set and expecting it. And the level of care and personalized attention is outstanding. It is well worth noting that we were three people with gluten issues and the absolute amazing level of commitment to creating options that worked fpr us that weren't just the bland salads was tremendous. Cleanliness was impeccable. absolutely impeccable. We had our two children with us and I am so happy because they experienced the real sense of Italian family, maybe a cliché but it was true here. We fell in love with this family and the hotel / "home" they shared with us. Thank you Annabelle and Annabella, from Thor, Brad Pitt, the little cutie and their mama. ;-)

A fantastic hotel! We stayed here for a wedding and made a very good choice. The staff were brilliant and made our family feel very welcome. The location was great - just 1km to either the port or castle. Highly recommended and we will definitely be visiting again! A big thank you once again to the staff

Stayed here 8-16 June 2022. We weren’t expecting this quality for the price we paid but we can honestly say that staying here made our holiday just perfect. We all fell in love with Ischia, Hotel Annabelle and the people. Hotel Annabelle is family run and in a perfect location tucked away just off the main road; 10 minutes stroll to the beach & port; #5 bus to Maronti beach right outside (on main road) and the supermarket (mini !) is 5 minutes around the corner. The hotel is super clean and very very comfortable. Our adult kids had a nice balcony with a wonderful view and the seating area at the front door was so beautiful to sit, talk, have a few drinks and play cards. The pool is perfect to relax too. We couldn’t fault any of the staff, they were so lovely and friendly. The owner, Lucia is a real character, gracious, positive and funny (would be a great craic to have a drink with. Next time 😉). Annabelle is a sweetheart and extremely helpful. Her English is way better than she says. She was our go to person for advice and local information. She made it easy for us to plan our days. We only had lunch at the hotel once (our lazy/hangover day), bruschetta and a panini. Beautiful. Even the cleaning staff were lovely and would greet us every day. They did a fabulous job. Everywhere was spotless: rooms, pool area, etc. every day. We highly recommend Hotel Annabelle and will definitely return. Thanks. Grazie mille a tutti

Just had a wonderful stay with my family of 5 adults . Beautiful hotel run by an amazing family who were always available for great advice (and remove splinters 😂), Annabelle, Lucia, Luigi, Roberto, their farther and anyone else I’ve forgotten 😉. So comfortable and clean, thank you also to the cleaning staff for all your hard work. Fabulous location and the pool is exactly what we needed. Our bed had the most comfortable mattress. Can’t rate this place high enough, you all made our holiday so memorable. Hope to see you all again, love from the crazy Irish family xxx

Almost a 5 star. Excellent breakfast buffet. Dinner buffet a little disappointing, but adequate. Room I had (211) large balcony, sea view. BUT bathroom floor very slippery and needs a coconut mat or similar, also a grab handle in the shower. Ridiculously small bath towels. No upright chair or a desk place to sit to write at or use laptop. Only two easy chairs at a low coffee table. Refreshing of mini-bar somewhat erratic and had to phone for replacements. Drinks service at bars v good, but £8 for a gin and tonic is silly - and drives guests to nearby bars. Incessant loud music at siesta time.

My wife and daughter were charged twice, despite paying in advance the room for three!. She could not leave without paying again, they claimed they have no record of payment I talked to Ms. Annabele by phone. She could not refund the card after leaving. We now, have to engage in costly phone calls while traveling to correct their mustake.

I am very happy with the hotel! The price is very good the staff very friendly and helpful. The condition of the building is very good and very clean!! I have been in this hotel because of some friends recommend to me and I also recommend.. thank you ***s!
