Could not fault a thing with Screebe House. The room was lovely with great views. The bed was so comfortable. Spotless clean. A great place to just totally chill out. The food was superb. Pool and spa area fabulous. The staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much for them. Beautiful scenery and gardens. Will definitely visit again.

Faultless from arrival to departure. With no TVs in bedrooms (great idea) we queried beforehand if we could see the Six Nations Rugby game. This was confirmed, was showing when we arrived and gave a great introduction and atmosphere with other likeminded guests. Beautiful gardens. Superb views from beautiful bedrooms. Terrific staff and amazing food. Spacious relaxing area, lovely bar and dining area. Victorian house with a modern, comfortable vibe. Terrific to have the Spa and outdoor hot tub. We did have 1 problem...........our 2 night stay was too short! Tasted of more and can't wait to return.

Perfect in every way. The staff are wonderful, the location perfect and the food is out of this world. We were part of a group here on Sunday and were so well looked after. Anyone working in hospitality could visit here to see how well it can be done. Thank you.

It has been about 8 months since I stayed at the Screebe in the priciest seaview room. This place could be better. The most unpleasant experience was that our room washcloths were "made" by cutting old towels down to size with two sides of the cloth just frayed. It was very odd, but it seemed wrong. I saw a maid working in another room wash out and hand dry a drinking glass with one of the hand towels. The hardware for the shower was broken... feeble would be a better word. We stayed in March and it took several tries to get heat sent to the room on the first night. The coffee service is in a hallway landing and it is a very loud Keurig machine, so we got to hear everyone making coffee in the morning. The spa towels were tired, brown, with the embroidered girdles shrinking signifying their age. The hot tub was nice, but its all hands-on to remove the cover. Not something that a senior person can do alone. Lastly the dinner was superb on both evenings, but the breakfast was inconsistent and on both days, my order which was to be two eggs was just one... the smaller of the options. the buffet meat looked a little bit like it came from a LIDL packet of meats and wasn't exactly abundant (which is ok considering the small number served), and all the plates were from Ikea... a place like this speaks to more authenticity. The staff was very amiable though. All that I mention are easily improved. Otherwise excellent place.

My husband and I were here the first week of October to celebrate our birthdays. This was the last leg of our almost month long adventure in Ireland. It turned out to be the highlight of our whole trip. The beautiful setting and ambiance of The Screebe House makes you feel like one is at the home of your favorite friend or relative. We felt welcomed from the moment we stepped in the door. Ursula/owner/manager, is a bright light with her warm personality and lovely sing song voice. The quiet solitude was refreshing and we did not even miss having no tv in our room, which was quite nice overlooking the water. We were here for 4 days and every meal we had (Big thanks to Trevor and all his help) was exceptional! I was treated to a relaxing massage at the spa while my husband was on a red stag hunt with his guide Craig, which was set up thru the House. He could not of asked for a better guide. The last hour and last day of his 2 day rigorous hunt rewarded him with a nice size stag. Thank you Craig for your help, expertise and friendship! The whole visit was filled with good people and kindness. We look forward to returning. Highly recommend!! Much thanks, The Americans, Kevin & Lisa

We popped in here yesterday on the off chance that we might get some lunch . I had heard great things about the place and we curious to try it . But lunch had just finished when Úrsula , who I think is the manager, ensured that we got fed . Delicious food in a stunning location with wonderful hospitality. Hopefully we will get back again for a weekend stay .

Outstanding dinner in stunning location in County Galway. We were warmly greeted by Ursula, the lady in charge and served by the delightful Orlaith and attentive Nathan. Food, wine and service were all first rate. Everything about the hotel speaks class and attention to detail ... with friendliness also outstanding. We will return ... and will look to stay here next time.

We are still here and wishing we had one more night here. We are traveling tomorrow or else we would stay and relax some more. Our room is lovely, the food is divine and everyone on staff is incredibly kind.

A very pleasant stay for 1 night. Very nice room with beautiful view over the water. The best thing for us was the salt water pool. We had dinner which was of a very high standard.
