Booked with tui, who failed to mention it’s a GERMAN hotel there were 6 British guests here during our stay , the hotel itself is clean small and not so friendly!! The staff don’t speak English and don’t make you feel welcome, also are unhelpful. food presented well and very repetitive we did have a room with a pool view( quieter)as this hotel is on a busy main road,during the day the poolside is noisy with very loud music , again all catering to their German guests!!!! The guy from the Animation team is about the only one who speaks English very well and he was great Go to the beach there is a shuttle bus or you can walk it in ten mins So if your British I honestly wouldn’t recommend this as a place to stay sorry :(

we have just arrived home and already looking forward to our next visit, hotel lovely & spotless our room was modern & spacious food was good & had different theme nights at weekends. entertainment staff work really hard & are really good if you don’t want to join in they respect your wishes waiters/ restaurant staff amazing everyone was lovely & friendly easily get a sun bed.

Very good service experience. Always nice and helpful. Very quiet place in September, no problem with sunbeds and queues. Rooms nice and cleaned every day. Food tasty and varied, you can eat something different for 7 days. I highly recommend.

It is very loud in the hotel: some rooms overlook to the big street with non-stop traffic noise, music from bars and markets, the other rooms - to small area inside of hotel to swimming pool/scene/restaurant which also keep the constant noise. I am not sure why in this hotel they make the music so loud THE WHOLE DAY till late evening. Because of that it is not possible to sleep and rest there. The other cons is that smoking is allowed almost everywhere: restaurant area, swimming pool, terasses. For non-smokers it will be definately uncomfortable stay here, if you open window in your room be ready to get a strong smoking smell. The last which made my stay there unhappy was the one receptionist unfriendliness. I had holiday to celebrate my birthday, and when I have I asked if I can order the table's decoration - it was rejected by him without explanation of reason. I was surprised because for other guests it was possible, maybe he just did not like our nationallity or whatever, but I find such behavior against to guests unacceptable. Unfortunatelly not everyone from hotel staff had the name tag, that's why I do not aware of his name. Afterwards we had luck that 8 hours later this person gone and I could ask same question to other receptionist who said it is possible. I am very thankfull to that other person on reception desk, but honestly all this story made me feel stress and at the end I had a bad mood on my birthday. So to sum up, although there were some advantages like normal food and beach area, I personally would not recommend this hotel. From my point of view, this is definatelly not a level of 4* hotel.

Would not visit again! Food was repetitive. Couldn’t sun bathe in peace, workers kept persisting to do activities. The hotel staff started playing water polo while guests were sun lounging, several guests were hit by the ball, we witnessed this first hand. Staff were rude, only ever catered for the German guests, they were waited on hand and foot while we were ignored or laughed at. Only compliment I have is the cleanliness. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Nearing the end of our holiday at the Aquamarin and it’s been an ok stay- if you come here expecting 4/5* food/service etc then you’ll be let down. We were looking for something last minute and there wasn’t much choice so this hotel looked like it ticked the boxes and we booked through First Choice. We arrived close to 3am and at first glance the hotel looked alright- we were woken at 10am by blasting music from the poolside (this is the normal and happens everyday apart from a Sunday so if you want a lie in, this isn’t the place for you). The entertainment is quite in your face at times as it mainly happens by the pool - I’d recommend sitting by the bar when they play waterpolo otherwise you’re risking getting the ball thrown in your face (seen this happen a couple of times). We visited the beach which was pretty clean and a nice change, the hotel has a bus which runs every 15 mins from outside or you can wander the short distance. As with most all inclusive hotels the food gets repetitive, but this hotel takes that to the next level- every lunchtime it’s been Turkey or grilled fish. Dinner not much better, the only variation seems to be where they place the dishes on the buffet. The Turkish Night, food was decent and the food in the a’ la carte restaurant that opens on a Sunday is acceptable. Drinks, standard local produced alcohol, some more manageable than others. The beer is Efes which is pretty decent. Coffee machines, water fridges and slush machines dotted around which are good. Location wise is good, it’s outside of Side but easily reached by the Dolmus which stops directly outside the hotel. The pictures of the rooms on the Tui/First Choice website are out of date, the rooms are tired and in need of a refresh. Overall a decent 3* hotel.

Side Aquarium Resort and Spa is a pleasant place where we enjoyed one week in the Turkish sun. To sum the hotel up briefly, I’d call it cheap and cheerful. The main pool area is the hub of the hotel and features one large pool, a smaller kids pool and playing area. There is also a bar, restaurant and entertainment area. We visited in June and noticed after 10am, it was a challenge to get a sun bed by the pool, however I noticed staff getting more sun beds out and placing these around the hotel. The staff at this hotel were all very kind and friendly and lost spoke good English. We stayed at this hotel for 1 week and visited the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is okay. There is a wide selection to choose from and the quality is decent. I found that I often ate the same meals each day, for example I had a cheese omelette for breakfast which was cooked specifically by a chef. For dinner, I often has pasta and chips. We also visited the al a carte restaurant which was a nice change of scenery. This restaurant is quite small and must be booked in order to visit. My main criticism of this hotel is that it is not a relaxing place to stay, especially by the pool and on an evening. I found the entertainment team too loud and uncomfortable to be around. For example, they constantly ask you to take part in activities such as water polo and water gym when you’re relaxing on a sun bed with a book. Also, the music was far too loud! Especially at 10am. The head of entertainment blasted the music throughout the day which was really uncomfortable for my group and I who just wanted to relax. Also, because the pool and hotel are quite small, the evening entertainment noise travels across the hotel, meaning that it can be heard everywhere (and I mean everywhere) until it stops at 11pm. I found this really unfair, especially for small children and families who wanted to rest and have an early night. We ended up buying ear plugs and using these every night since our room backed onto the stage. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want to rest and relax, but if you’re up for partying until dawn, then this is the place for you. In all, I’m not sure what the hotel is trying to be? The rooms are decent, the staff are great and the hotel and pool are lovely. But the loud music and entertainment really makes the place seem like a rave haven. Also, the entertainment team arranged a rave and foam party for 3pm on a Wednesday? I was really confused by this and as it was so loud, ended up going back to my room to try and rest. It just seems like a mixed bag?

Stayed here for 2 Weeks in July hotel was spotless and checkin was quite quick. Room was lovely and as advertised food plenty of choice but very repetitive, drinks you only got half a glass and tasted watered down Negative Majority of the staff was rude got the impression they didn’t like the English and couldn’t do enough for other nationalities the man who stood at the restaurant door way never smiled just stood watching everyone witnessed management arguing with staff in the dining room , the lady on reception was very rude and abrupt The indoor pool was closed for the duration of our stay and the al a carte restaurant also closed and this was included in what we paid for .
