At first when my cousin booked this we were left wondering how did he shortlist this property. But when we landed there it was a totally different and wonderful experience. Just 6 cottages ticked away from the main road transforms you to an unforgettable experience. What a wonderful stay we had. The staff members were simply awesome. Imagine getting bong food specially cooked for us . Unimaginable. From the time we arrived Ashok, Buddhadeb, Chinmay and Jadeppa were more like family members. Always eager to help the guests and taking care of their needs. Mr. Ponappa who owns the resort was kind enough to spend a lot of time with us and explaining the journey of Serene Woods. A lot of common friends between us suddenly cropped up. You know what...out plan to visit Madikeri town was laid to rest and we spent 2 days simply chatting and enjoying the hospitality at Serene Woods. The food was amazing. The cottages were outstanding and specially the balconies with their beautiful views . You hear the birds chirp and the greenery transforms you to a different world. The only point that is a drawback of the location of the dining room. For the elderly and people with back issues, climbing up all the way may prove to be a bit difficult . But Jadeppa and staff were extremely kind enough to serve those with climbing difficulty at the lawns. The evening bonfire was great. If you just want to relax and have a good time in Madikeri please make sure Serene Woods is your next destination. Mr. Ponappa thanks to you and your team we will definitely come back and strongly recommend your place to one and all.

They keep true to their name. Absolutely serene, scenic, and peaceful. Just outside the madikeri town the resort is hidden away from all traffic and life’s hustles. All day throughout you will enjoy the scenery of the estate and hills ***** with birds playing hide and seek. Waking up to the playful calling of birds, sleeping to a silent night was really what made it special. Owners Mr. Bopanna and Mr. Ponappa, ***ager Mr. Jedappa and the entire serene woods staff are great hosts and will always take that extra step to make you feel homely and comfortable. The food preparation was absolute homely and tasteful. I have travelled ***y places and stayed at ***y resorts but serene woods is one of a kind experience. Thanks Mr. Bopanna for the estate walk and a crash course on Coffee. It was really fun and interesting. 5*s to Team Serene Wood, and look forward to staying with you again soon. Will highly recommend to anyone travelling to Coorg.

If you are interested in the nature's calmness, this is definitely the property for you. It is surrounded by trees and the only sound you hear during the day is the chirping of birds. The service & food is excellent. Look for Jeddappa!

Very beautiful place with scenic beauty. Mr Ashok, a very hard working person, gives very good estate walk and was knowledgeable. Resort provides bonfire and has lots of indoor activities. Good veg food was made on de***d by Mr Budhadeb. Another staff, Mr Jatappa, is an all-rounder and was always smiling and was helpful in all work. Rest of the staff, Mr Chinmaye and Sandhaya were very sincere and polite. Very good experience for a short and relaxed stay.

We r senior citizens searching for a place to relax with nature..luckily came across this place oozing with serenity of mother nature.Stayed here for 5 nights / six days (25/09 to 30/09/23).Requested Mr Nischal for room with a view As the name suggest,this is a serene world amidst a vast coffee estate. 1.Rooms are cozy,clean with basic necessities and feather in the crown is a stunning unobstructed green view from a huge balcony with comfortable chairs.Everyday room is cleaned by Ms. Sandhya and arranged everything with small dhoop in bathroom and bedroom. 2. Ms. Priya takes complete care of the guests and is always available on call. Mr. Ashok is also very attentive. Out of six days stay ,we went for sightseeing on two half days in Coorg. 2. Excellent homely food by two chefs Mr.Kiran and Mr.Budhdhadev. Morning breakfast with real juice,tea,coffe.Lunch and dinner at your convenient time made to order( we eat food with no spice). Limited choice of food but very good quality with no food colour and enough to satisfy yr taste buds. 3. E zone where a small but good library,home theatre, carrom, and other games. We r thankful to the entire staff for taking good care and attention. Mr.Chinmay was always attentive with a smile in dining area. Everyday @6am a Malabar Whisteling Trush wakes you,followed by other birds chirping. Sitting in balcony you go in trans status with nature. Serene Woods is located just outside of Madikeri, the main town of Coorg. It is located amidst a beautiful coffee plantation, surrounded by hills and jungles on three sides. It was a rain-soaked trip. Beautiful weather, rain and mist all around made it even more ro***tic. Thimmaiah proved to be a wonderful host, a cheerful, glib-talking, energetic and suave *** who mingled with all members of our extended family and kept us entertained throughout our stay. Wonderful hospitality and good food of Serene Woods helped us make some good memories.

One of the best places to stay in coorg but it has its own flaws and its no other than but the owner Nitin ponappa himself, with only 5 rooms of Homestays, its only a small property with comfortable stay. The staff is ver welcoming but micro***aged to everybit by the owner nitin. The owner is arrogant and did not even say hello to us when he passed us. being in the forest and rainy and cold season of july, the owner refused to serve us our paid dinner in our rooms as we got sick and had no energy. upon requesting multiple times as we had women travelling with us his tone over the phone got loud and arrogant " said its our policy that no room service is allowed. to a point where he gave us personal suggestions saying ask the *** to have dinner in the restaurant and then take the left over food to his women in a plate. The staff told me they would love it and be happy to do this as they understand because they are directly dealing with the guests but the owner dosen't allow them to and they had similar experiance with previous guest where the they slept hungry, What makes a place better? Its service to its guest, it wasn't a bold de***d to make, Nischal ponappa on the other end was very nice as he was in contact before we reached to make sure what rooms were being alloted but the property is ***aged by his brother Nitin who is arrogant enough to make his guest have the worst experience, he also used the statement to respect his policies and i coudnt argue further because i was scared what if ask us to leave given us the arrogance. we would have no place in the middle of the forest to move to given we were with our loved ones. i would love to give this property and 5 star but not worth the service offered to us.

Wonderful Stay at Seren Woods, As name indicates Property is in the midst of coffee estate. Seren, calm and very well maintained. Cottages are nice, spacious and very clean. They have big balconies ,with a seren vally view. Breakfast and food also tasty, though limited choice but preparation was nice. All staff and ***ager are polite and very co opeeative. Overall it was a lovely stay.. Will surely like to recommed this property. Shilpa Phanse

I have been to ***y places....but worst experience with serene woods. owner is irresponsible with the complaint been raised and not polite in speaking. Room is hot and no extra fans issued,Tv is not working.The bed is too hard got back pain. Really horrible and worst experience.
