It was nice place

The pools and beach were very nice and clean. Food was okay! Not much variety and repetitive. AC in the lobby was never working We were only given one room key!

Not recommended for ALLERGY sufferers. On my last night, I booked the Italian restaurant at the hotel with guest relations at reception. Just like the other two bookings I had previously with other restaurants at the hotel, the guest relation staff added a note to my booking online to state nut allergy. I then attended the restaurant for the 9pm booking and mentioned to the waiter my nut allergy. The waiter stated just no desserts were suitable. I ordered chicken Caesar salad for my starter and for main the Olio Pasta (sauce on menu stated chilli, olive oil, garlic and parsley). I ate the starter and then it was around 20minutes until the main arrived. Within 5 minutes of starting to eat the main I felt the initial symptoms of an allergic reaction. I then went to reception and stated I needed an ambulance as I think I’m experiencing an allergic reaction. The receptionist stated it was 40 minutes to a hospital but they have a doctor on site who they would call. I spoke to the doctor on the phone explaining I have anaphylaxis and they came to me quickly and assessed me confirming I was in the initial stage of anaphylaxis. I was with the doctor from around 9.45pm - 2am and luckily survived. The meeting with Head Chef, Food Manager and Guest relations next day made me feel very emotional as I had a near death experience, had been too afraid to sleep since and then I was afraid to eat anything. They denied any nuts were in the food and that the recipe was in the Chef’s head.

Unprofessional staff , bad food , sometimes you find nothing to eat in their restaurant , totally overrated

A good place with a high-quality entertainment program, good rooms, staff, clean calm sea, good food and drinks, there is a nice large swimming pool where water aerobics is carried out, as well as on the territory of mongo restaurants. I am happy with the trip, I recommend a very good hotel to everyone

Old made with cheap equipment. Wifi is not working in the whole hotel so you will not get access to internet. The food is really cheap and almost the same at every meal. The staff of the hotel is always willing to lie you just steal you money. Expect lound music from there empty disco until 2 am in the morning. This hotel is not worth than 3 stars / 50 dollars per night (I paid 120$ per person per night in low season). Just avoid it my worst experience in 10 stays in Egypt. (For information Labranda club is the same hotel with different ranking and price ...)

I would like to point out at the start of this review , i have been to Egypt Sharm El sheik 4 times and have really enjoyed it with no issues., We didn't actually realise how far Makadi bay was from Hurghada. The Negatives....... Arrived at Labranda last week, reception not very helpful but on appearance looked nice, room nice and grounds really looked after. The hotel was mainly German or Russian guest , very few British. We arrived around 21:00 hrs and told we could still get something to eat in the main restaurant , we put the cold poor quality of the food down to being late, so next day put that behind us. Our first night we booked the Turkish Restaurant as we were given 3 vouchers to dine in the Al a Carte restaurants. We were given a slot and everyone seated together , we were not allowed it a minute sooner so waited some time for the 1 waiter to serve drinks to everyone, the food eventually can which represented a cuppa soup in a bowl , next came a small salad then the main which we chose which came on its own with no side. Eventually we left feeling very disappointed. The next day my partner woke with stomach cramps and very bad diorama. This gradually got worse, after a day or 2 another guest recommended we go to the on site pharmacy and get medication , there was already another guest there being sick into a bag. As my partner was feeling so unwell we cancelled out table at the Italian and requested a pizza for him to try, despite the fact there was a room service menu we were refused and told there is no room service. I was told i could go and dine alone and bring back food from the main restaurant but the Italian would not help . After 15 minuets of trying to find a table and the manager shrugging his shoulders saying what can we do i eventually sat and quickly had something , after complaining about the poor service and that this would go in a review eventually a pizza was sent . Unfortunately he was too poorly to eat but will say the only safe decent food to here is pizza, which is a shame as I'm a keen cook and enjoy nice food. The beach is full of Russians smoking the loungers very close together so we stayed by the pool. In fact this is a very prominent smoking hotel , People will smoke over you in the bars and while you dine. After a couple of days both my partner and i picked up with meds starting to work so we had lunch in the beach restaurant the food here is slightly better however while eating we witnessed a chef in gloves handling raw chicken , he picked up some white tissue dried his gloves then moved to the station next to him and picked up some fries and put on a guests plate using the same gloves , i was mortified and we then realised why we had been unwell. I reported this to a manger and just before we left the same chef (still working in the restaurant) noticed me and waved laughing as if he had found the incident funny . If you don't get to the restaurant early things run out , i was told 9am

Worst hotel and experience ever I don’t recommend it to anyone, reception staff are rude and not helpful at all especially one called Ahmed and their duty manager also the same, no professional in handling guests and it seems that they are against local guests

This was our 11th trip to the Red Sea and we found this hotel was really the worst - more like a 3* star hotel! First the positives: - lovely landscaped gardens full of beatiful flowers, shrubs and trees - decent coffee at the bar by the pool (proper ground coffee) - pity that it's only open 8-12:00 - small outdoor gym at the beach with good selection of free weights and some basic machines (1 treadmill, 1 cross trainer, 1 bike, 1 smith machine) The Negatives - NO AIR CON - we arrived at the end of March in 30 degrees C and were shocked to find that the hotel refused to switch on air con because as they said it wasn't hot enough! Surely, working air con is the most basic requirement of a 5* hotel? - On a 2nd day, I got a bad food poisoning (cramps, vomitting, diarrhea all night) - probably from the bad/spoilt wine, as they open about 10 -12 bottles of wine and keep them open in a big bowl (1 bowl for white, another for red, another for rose) for many hours at lunchtime and then again at dinner time. In a 30 degree heat it probably turns bad very quickly! - Food was terrible - poor selection and quality. Each night there was a different theme. Why would anyone want to eat German food in Egypt (no pork!)? Why not serve some authentic local cuisine? - No jetty on the beach and the reef is very far away from the shore so snorkelling is not available for everyone - you have to swim for about 25 mins against the waves. It is also quite tricky to reach, especially in low tide, as some parts closer to the reef are too shallow for swimming so you have to walk on top of the reef. There is also a small island in-between where you can walk in low tide but its covered with plastic rubbish. We tried to use the jetty by the next door hotel but they wanted $5 each to enter! - the sales people hassling you on the beach - some of them were quite aggressive and wouldn't take No for an answer. Plus the prices they were quoting were ridiculous, e.g. £50 for a 50min massage! -
