Place is easy to find in Howick, lots of signage, close to the main road. The bungalows are on the smaller side, for solo travel fine but would not recommend that size for couples. The whole area is quiet despite being central, place was clean and staff attentive, getting in and out of the premises was a breeze. Parking secure within the yard in front of the bungalows. The bed was fluffy & warm which is critical because it does get cold in the Midlands. Only criticism is the lack of a chair in the room. Would book again.

The King rooms were good but the fans did not work during an extremely hot weekend, they eventually provided portable fans. The, so called, self service Rondavel was really bad. A stove and oven were on the list but did not exist; the fan did not work; was generally very run down with a hole in the wall; no cutery; not enough crockery for 2 adults and 2 children, nor place mats nor serviettes, only 2 cushions for chairs; curtains dirty and broken; windows could not close. In addition I saw 2 rats in the garden outside. Restaurant was not open during the hours advertised, but the food was very good. Access to the property is only via pressing a button at the gate, and we had to wait about 15/20 mins before somebody opened.

Your receptionists are the best. They really make sure guests are happy. Traveling with sons with sinuses and the place was been painted. Dampness due to roof leakages. But they made our stay perfect. Would definitely come back due to the attention to detail by receptionists. Safety no. Gate was opened through out with no guard. I felt unsafe.Supper portion size I ordered fish they were very small but tasty. Breakfast perfect.

I did not get what i booked. i booked a self-catering unit and that was not what we got. The lady tried to accommodate us, but eventually we landed inside the hotel, with a microwave and fridge to share - and i had to pay in on this.

The new cabin that we stayed in were very nice, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom is also great. The negative is that there is no towel rail in the bathroom, I take it because it was only completed a few days before, that they did not have time to install it.

Stay and unit was very clean. No aircons in the rooms, but a fan. Not a issue as it was cold when we visited. Only lights work when there is loadshedding - not the plugs. Also was not a issue, but just note. Dinner not so great. Steak was thin and dry, and the pasta I ordered was not according to the ingredients on the menu.

Possibly the worst B&B I have every stayed in, this B7B is a series of old rooms with a dormitory style wing, with inter-leading rooms. It seems it caters to government groups, and long stays. It really is terrible. 1. Noisy 2. Smokey 3. Dirty 4. Uncomfortable 5. No Hot Water How could it be any worse!

Perfect overnight stop. Clean, quiet, everything I needed. Staff were courteous and friendly very well situated but so gorgeously private and remote. Good size room and bathroom. No complaints. Very happy and will return!

Another chair in the room would be nice but a very pleasant stay and they coped very well after the lightning strike. A good location for folk visiting Howick. The staff were excellent and most helpful,
