Where do I start arrived early so couldn’t check in which is fine so asked could they put my bags in my room for us as we were off to winter wonderland and had to catch the tube with there being laptops iPads etc in bags they assured me not to worry and I could check in later, got back at 7pm to find all doors open bags still where I left them no one in sight, I rang intercom 3 times then resorted to ringing mobile number on wall, then the rude angry man appears asked me to pay 1st then says I need a passport to book in nothing had stated this previously so I hadn’t got anything his attitude was tough drive back to Manchester and get it all he would say was I’m not going to argue even when I tried to show him all the emails which never stated any of this he wouldn’t even look eventually got family to send me a photo the room was freezing cold and when I went for breakfast I was greeted by another guest holding up his marmalade pot that had been nibbled by Roland rat horrible place horrible night staff

My breakfast marmalade pot had been chewed through by vermin. I raised it but never got a call back. I didn’t notice until I took the last scoop.

Wasn't there long enough to be able to comment. It served a valuable purpose and so I was grateful for the availability at short notice and convenience provided.

Unprofessional and filled with raucous people using obscene language and talking about guns.

Having stayed there last year i booked again and stayed there, the free parking is a major bonus because you can't park anywhere around the area, the staff are friendly and helpful the room we had was a triple room and was both clean and spacious with a good sized bathroom which was also very clean, the price is very good, again on checking out the staff were friendly,i will definitely be staying here again.

My room was small, but functional, the stay was only for one night. I have been here before and depending on who is on reception, makes the difference between a warm welcome, or a feeling they are only putting up with you because they have to. Body language and they way you are looked at gives this away. The fact I had no hot running water for a shower and had to use the kettle to sort out hot water for ablutions to be honest was the last straw, I wont be staying there again, I paid in advance for a service, basic hot water I thought was a given. They have a massive area they could do breakfast in, but they don't offer the service, again you get the feeling they only do what they have to.

I booked two rooms here this weekend for my wife and I and for our son. When we arrived there was a queue at reception and the bell was not being answered. I rang the contact number and eventually somebody came. There was a sign in the hallway saying "please consider other guests and keep noise to a minimum" or words to that effect. The walls are paper thin and there was noise all night long. Banging and crashing, loud talking in corridors right outside our rooms, talking in the car park right outside our room, doors slamming. People seemed to be coming in until 3am and they started leaving by 4am - leaving cars running in the carpark right outside our window to warm up then having loud conversations beside them. We won't be back.

We stayed here for one night recently. The walls are paper thin. There was banging, crashing and shouting almost all night long.

Clean and clearly recently renovated, helpful staff, overall pleasant environment. Unfortunately overnight it was very noisy, lots of banging doors, could hear conversations through walls and in the corridor. Our window looked out onto a lightwell with several other windows so light was coming in all night, and the blind had gaps letting a lot of light in.
