To stay in Honfleur is a gift…to stay there in L’Absinthe Hotel is a treasure. Victor and his companion, Obama, the world’s friendliest golden retriever, made our stay a dream. Besides the tasteful and well-appointed rooms, Victor (the young owner) made us reservations in all the best places, no small feat given that we were a party of 7. Breakfast at the hotel was curated to our group and absolutely scrumptious. I simply cannot overstate what a joy it was to be a guest in this charming inn. When we departed, I felt like I was leaving the home of good friends. Well done, Victor. Merci beaucoup! And bon jour to Paul and Obama (woof!)

I highly recommend this hotel. Both members of staff we spoke to were friendly, efficient and could not have been more helpful. Our room was fantastic. The continental breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect. Would not hesitate to stay here again. The parking is very secure, behind doors with key pad entry. It is a short walk to reception but you can drop your bags off before parking.

The hotel was difficult to find and the rooms were not connected to the reception area. Parking was not convenient. The room was very average with no surfaces to place items so they had to be on the floor. Bath was good though. Over priced for size and quality of the construction in the room

What a lovely hotel. Great location, great people working there and we had a really nice time. We will definitely be staying again, in fact, see you in about 3 weeks.

Driving in to Honfleur I was immediately enchanted with the town and found the Hotel L’Absinthe easily. The hotel was ideally situated for exploring the town, with lots of narrow cobblestoned streets and old colorful buildings reflected in the water. There were several excellent restaurants within a minute's walk. For some reason I was upgraded to a nicer room, luckily on the ground floor and not up the narrow steep stairs. It was the largest room of my trip, with an actual luggage rack for once, good lighting, and a large bathroom with a step-in shower. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a towel warmer. The young desk clerk was very helpful, especially with restaurant recommendations. They offer secure garaged parking for a fee, which I took advantage of. The garage is about a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The bonus was a friendly resident Golden Retriever named Obama.

A lovely change from corporate style hotels, this one had a fantastic a**osphere ,lovely room in beautiful surrounds with lots to see and do close by. very close to nice bars and restaurants. Staff were more than helpful and very kind. I came for business but would happily bring my family to a place like this.

This is a super cool location to stay, the rooms are small, but clean and very friendly service right on the harbor, close to great restaurants and all the sites. The owner is new, and very accomodating, beds were comfy it was very clean, and the bathrooms were large with lots of space

Excellent staff that we’re willing to accommodate us with luggage, driving with us to secured parking and assistance with forms from the embassy to print due to a lost passport. The two restaurant recommendations were excellent !!

Darling hotel right down by the wharf. Very friendly personalized service. Very enjoyable.
