클래큰 호텔(Klækken Hotel)

Unfortunately when we stayed there were floods in the local town and the older folks evacuated to the hotel. No fault of the hotel of course and they did let us cut short our stay with no issues. The decor is dated but with improvements it could be a great place.

Very nice staff and great hotel all together. My room had overview over a nice garden, swimming pool, large outdoor chess and lots of garden chairs. The room was nice and clean. And included a fridge, water boiler and wine glasses. Weather was wonderful during my stay, something that made it extra nice.

Hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, but not far by car to Hønefoss centre. Hotel is huge with long corridors, plenty of space to chill. Breakfast is good and tasty, especially smoked salmon was delicious. Personal at reception is slow. Room js not so big, and unfortunately not clean, I saw dust everywhere. Swimming pool was closed, there is no playing room for kids, so its quite boring.

Trodde vi for 3000 kr i det minste skulle ha badekar, og det tror jeg sto i forhåndsbeskrivelsen også. Men neida.

We booked a table in the restaurant for a family dinner. A welcoming staff in comforting surroundings. Great service and an abundance of proper authentic and traditional Norwegian Christmas food and drink.

Our stay was mediocre to say the least. The place had booked a wedding and hosted 2 conventions at the same time. We were there for none of it and then seen almost like 2nd rang customers. At breakfast my daughter and mother were asked if they were part of the wedding party, when they responded no, they were told they couldn't be seated. Even though there were plenty of tables. We had the same experience for dinner. They were ultimately able to seat us, but we had to order the food before entering the restaurant. The staff was completely overworked and it was noticeable. The bar offering for a 4-star hotel very low. The room was falling apart. We couldn't hang the shower head and take a decent shower, and the tube on the hair drier fell off any time we used it. And to top it off, our room wasn't cleaned either of the days we were there.

Usedvanlig god service! Resepsjonist hjalp til med alle spørsmål og forespørsler for å gjøre oppholdet perfekt!

The stay was very pleasant, but covid related closures and the status of certain facilities were not communicated clearly in advance, as such we were disappointed to find that we were unable to use gym, sauna and limited pool access.
