호텔 네우 포스트 홀즈가우

We booked the Hotel Neue Post for a week in February 2016 and were dropped off outside. However reception advised us that we would not be staying in the hotel itself but in its sister property the Rosa apartments. This turned out to be much better for us as a family but I think that this should have been made clear when we booked. Holzgau is a quaint little village with a few restaurants, 2 supermarkets, a pub, and a few sports shops. We travelled from Munich with a group who choose to stay here each year. The village is ideally placed for access to several ski resorts. We ate in several hotels and restaurants and found the Neue Post to be very good and fairly inexpensive. It even had an English menu which is exceedingly rare in this area. Unlike the hotel the Rosa Apartments were self catering. They were basic but clean and were a great base for us. The pillows were very poor but when we asked at the Neue Post for extras their response was immediate.

What a wonderful drive to Holzgau and such a nice reception from the staff on arrival...even though the electricity had gone out in the entire village...briefly, thank goodness!!! The reception area, all glass terrace, beautiful dining area, etc. were inviting. Our room was small, had all we needed, and had a balcony with a fairly nice view. From there we saw a mini golf course so since we had driven up from Innsbruck we were ready to stretch our legs. A fun and difficult course among the trees and nice grounds. Dinner at the hotel was delicious. Pork escalope with a fabulous cream sauce for me and veal schnitzel that was very tender for my husband. Strudel for dessert was also very good. Sweet waitress too. Breakfast was also very good, offering scrambled eggs and bacon....a real treat since we come from California!!! Only draw back....walls too thin!! Could hear the TV as we were in bed last night and were awakened by noise above us this AM!!!!!

We ate at this restaurant twice and had great meals both times. We sat in the main restaurant the first time which is very comfortable, modern and clean. The second time we sat in the area with the windows facing onto the square and had lovely views of the beautiful snowy village square. The waitresses were friendly, helpful and professional. The menu had a good variety. Our friends had steaks on one occasion and they were perfectly cooked and tender. I had the kasespatzle one evening which was lovely and very tasty. There is even a small menu for older people which is great for older people with smaller appetites. There is a great selection of desserts including some lovely cakes. A great place to eat but you need to reserve a table as they get very busy.

This is a top location. The hotel is family owned. They serve wonderful food (breakfast and dinner). The bus to the ski area of Warth- Schrocken is across the street and in only 20 minutes you can enjoy the wonderful slopes.

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Restaurant. Alle Speisen waren sehr lecker und haben uns gut geschmeckt. Der Service war an dem Abend freundlich und ok, aber mit Luft nach oben. Es lag vielleicht auch daran, dass wir plötzlich drei Kellner hatten die unseren Tisch bedienten. Wir hatten einen Grillteller, 2 mal ein Menü aus Möhrensuppe, Schnitzel und Dessert und ein wirklich leckeres Rahmschnitzel, dies kam leider 5 min später als die anderen Gerichte, dafür gabs für alle ein Getränk aufs Haus und selbstverständlich entschuldigte man sich mehrfach. Insgesamt waren wir alle mit unsern Gerichten sehr zufrieden. Der kleinen Patzer im Service wurde freundlich wett gemacht, preislich für 4 Personen waren 60€ auch ok und so werden wir bestimmt noch einmal kommen.

Prima hotel met compleet vernieuwd restaurant , lekker eten, mooie en nette kamers en zeer vriendelijke staf . Ook de disco in de kelder is leuk voor de liefhebbers , zonder dat de andere gasten hier enige hinder van ondervinden . Wel jammer dat er niet echt een bar is in het hotel zelf , zodat apero dient te worden gebruikt in de eetzaal , en indien er heel veel volk is , is zelfs daar ook geen plaats meer . Op wandelafstand van de skipiste in Holzgau en sikbus naar Warth stopt aan het hotel !
