Gateway Lodge

Shame on me – I almost never write reviews- however… the Gateway at Pine Hill deserves every bit of praise possible!! We could only stay one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Jessica and Justin were our amazing hosts. Their home and hospitality exceeded all expectations. If you are skiing and looking for a nearby place to Belleayre to rest comfortably, fill your bellies with yumminess and enjoy a weekend escape, this is the place for you! - The home is literally 2 min across the road from the mountain – proximity check! - We booked the Rossmore suite for my husband and 3 teenagers – plenty of room for us all. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the duvet bedding was so fluffy. The bathrooms were spotless and the towels were thick and great quality too. Cleanliness and quality sleep – check! - There’s a happy hour at 4pm, where the kids enjoyed the hot chocolate bar with whip cream, chocolate chips and sprinkles, and my husband and I had some of their house wine which was lovely. Maybe it's the mountain spring water, but the kids said it was one of the best hot chocolates they've ever had. There is a fireplace and a few couches in the large common-space area to chill out in, which we did after a full day at Belleayre. They had chess, scrabble and a big selection of other fun sitting activities -board games, card games, books, coloring etc... Comfy chillaxin – check! - One of the unexpected highlights was how satisfied my belly was from the incredible breakfast that we had - blueberry pancakes were terrific and the homemade challah bread French toast that Justin makes from scratch was divine. Yumminess- check! Overall, Justin and Jessica were fantastic hosts. Their warmth and kindness was palpable the second you walked in the door, then couple that with the charm of their home and their attention to detail in making sure we felt comfortable made for the perfect stay!! Even my teenagers were content- WHAT!! We will be back again!!! Thank you Justin and Jessica (and Auggie) for taking such great care of us in the Catskills!

Next to Belleayre, unsurpassed hospitality by current inn managers, Justin and Jessica, splendid breakfast and a house full of lovely skiing guests just like us. What more could we ask for. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We will come back!

This places was love at first sight! The host Jackie was amazing! Caring, thoughtful, attentive. His husband also is very humble! My friend spent a incredible weekend in Gateway! Please do yourself a favor and book here! 100 recommended 🍁🍁🍁 Thanks!!!

What a WONDERFUL stay! We stumbled on Gateway at Pine Hill for a girls weekend getaway and it was such a perfect spot to stay in the Catskills - easily accessible hiking and restaurants, delicious food, and such a cozy and fun spot. I was traveling with a vegan and this was such a vegan-friendly spot. The hospitality was beyond our expectations! Frank, the owner, was so warm and welcoming and gave us some amazing recommendations in the area. We loved the bonfire and happy hour! Added bonus: both regular and vegan s’mores! Breakfast was amazing! Full of options and accommodating for all dietary restrictions. My vegan friend RAVED about the vegan breakfast burrito! Highly recommend staying here when in the area! Frank and his wife took over the B&B in 2020 and have updated and modernized quite a bit. (Note: Some of the photos on TripAdvisor look older and from the prior owner)

I don't typically leave reviews but I could not recommend a stay more! If you are looking to get away for a weekend this is the place to stay. I felt like I was on the set of a Hallmark movie with all the amazing hospitality I was provided. Frank and Jackie offer a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere with delicious food, a beautiful room, and details to make a vacation feel special. They both genuinely care about how your stay is going and offer any support to improve your stay. Even as we checked out, packed up the car, and pulled away Frank ran to our car with pajama pants I had left in the room by mistake. Thank you Frank and Jackie for being good at your jobs!

If I could give the place six stars I would. We were up for a wedding and the family had rented out the whole place. I'm forgetting the names of the couple that run the place, but they were lovely, personable and very inviting during our stay. Just great people that really show passion for running the place (and have dogs!). The common room was very cozy and well decorated. We enjoyed staying down there, playing some board games and having a few drinks. And breakfast was very, very good. Top notch, with a bunch of options. We were in the largest suite that they had. The room was very suitable for five people, with great views of the mountain. The shower was very modern and we all had enough space to lay out all of our things....although if we were here during ski season it might've started feeling a little more cramped. All in all, very glad I stumbled upon this place and would gladly return.

I can not say enough about our experience at The Gateway at Pine Hill. I rarely write reviews but this couple deserves more than 5 stars. They are both so warm & welcoming, their bed & breakfast is everything anyone could ask for. Jackie had me at whole house filter for the well! The beds are so comfy cozy, I love the fireplace in the morning & night. The hot coco hour in the afternoon is such a great touch, but the fact that they had non-dairy options blew us away & literally made our trip extra special! Hospitality is at the forefront of Frank & Jackie's bed & breakfast! Frank is a great chef & the servers in the morning were great as well!! My sons & I have been staying at different places every winter for 5 years now & I can not say enough about The Gateway at Pine Hill. We definitely will not stay anywhere else in the future for skiing in NY!! Frank & Jackie thank you for making our stay memorable, comfortable, relaxing, & absolutely perfect. Where you stay means so much, it makes or breaks a trip! Keep up the great work guys!! See ya next year!!

Très beau séjour! Les chambres ont été entièrement rénovées avec beaucoup de goût! Les propriétaires sont adorables et très serviables. Le petit-déjeuner était incroyablement bon! Je recommande vivement de séjourner au Gateway!
