BIG4 Hervey Bay Holiday Park

Point Vernon Big 4 Holiday Park is in a quiet location . Has a lovely pool , games room . A large camp kitchen . The ammenities are kept very clean and the showers have plenty of hot water .The grounds and gardens are kept tidy , The staff are wonderful . The park is pet friendly . .

Friendly staff, with clean and well appointed facilities. Kids loved the pool, playground and games room. Large undercover BBQ area that was always clean and great spot close to the playground. Great place to stay as not on the big side so at times very quiet for the younger kids.

Stayed in a cabin..renovated beautifully. Bright and airy. Plenty of room for a family with seperate adult room. Nice little outside patio area and space for car. A lovely peaceful park..gorgeous lush surrounding gardens and pool for a dip Staff are really helpful with maps and suggestions of things to do. So many secluded beaches and great eateries to explore in the area Would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to anyone wanting a great getaway Owners Alysha and Tom are wonderful hosts..always making sure everything is perfect for a great experience.

Big 4 Hervey Bay at Point Vernon was a surprise from the time we arrived owners Tom & Alysha made our stay welcoming & enjoyable. Our site was amongst palm trees was tranquil & the park peaceful. Tom assisted in parking the caravan, some would say a marriage saviour. A friendly & approachable couple happy to assist anyway they can. Alysha booked our day tour to K'gari which was a great experience. Tom did offer advice & tips on taking our 4WD but we opted for the guided tour. A walk along the Urangan pier was nice & got to see a dugong. A great holiday park with a nice pool & clean amenities. Thanks Tom, Alysha & team.

Stayed 2 nights in cabin. Pros - gardens well maintained, atmosphere quiet & inviting with appropriate signage, kids loved swimming in the pool & using the games room (unfortunately at the time we were here there may have been a dead rat stuck in the roof or something of the games room as it had that smell to it). - crockery items & glasses in the cabin were in great condition & offered 4 of each item. - Beds neatly made, reasonable quality and comfortable to sleep on - Fresh linen was supplied - Aircon worked well & cooled down room quickly. - Cons- dinning table very damaged & room fan dusty, floors we weren’t swept, vacuumed or mopped. As we could feel stuff sticking to our feet when we walked in. My daughter accidentally spilt a bit of water and when she wiped it up the paper towel was very dirty after she wiped it up. - The kitchenette was challenging, we are a family of four & it was only equipt with a one blunt chefs knife 3 forks a very 2 small pans and one very small pot. Bought ingredients to make pasta, had to use bbq area with gas stove element as the electric element in our cabin wouldn’t boil the water & had to use the only deep pan available in bbq area, with no lid available, and a very lose and unsteady handle. There is a microwave in our cabin but no microwaveable glass/ plastic bowl that could be used to cook pasta. - Our range-hood fan was thick with built up dust. So all in all, it was good budget accomodation but be prepared for a camping kind of experience. I personally was disappointed in the cleanliness and lack of basic kitchen equipment. But the kids loved the facilities and beds were comfy. To be fair we did not notify staff about our complaints, they could have got someone to redo floors, clean fan and range hood fan, put a table cloth over table, add another fork, sort out the smell in games room, but that would have taken time and hassle so we just made do.

Staying here overnight on our way north. Small park, but quiet and peaceful. We were given a beautiful private spot for our motor home with lush palms all around where we sit outside. But the showers … OMG ! The best showers we’ve had in the 2 weeks we’ve been away. We’ve stayed in much larger places with amazing pools, swim up bars and lovely clean facilities. These shower rooms have a bench to put your clothes and things on .. totally seperate from the shower so you don’t have to do a crazy dance to dry and dress yourself on a wet floor like most other places. The shower itself was hot and very strong and just perfect ! I’d kill to have this water pressure in my own bathrooms. Not the flashiest place we’ve stayed, but certainly right up there in the top 3 so far. From the call to book in and then arriving, the staff are friendly and informative. Would definitely come back here and highly recommend.

We stayed here recently as we had my Mums memorial in Hervey Bay. The staff and owners were so welcoming and so helpful. They even put on a barbeque and platters for everyone in the park after my mums memorial. They gave us flowers as well, it was a very emotional time away but Big4 Hervey Bay Holiday Park Point Vernon made this time so much easier for me and my family. We will be going back every August from now on !!!

What a little gem. Grounds were clean and tidy. The kids loved the pool area and games room. Cabin was fantastic, so clean and had everything you would need to be comfortable. We were meant to stay 3 nights, ended up staying 6 cause nobody wanted to leave. Safe to say we will be back!!
