Please tell me why an innkeeper, charging over $200 a night for a room, does not greet their guests. We were “greeted” by a response on a Ring doorbell, telling us to refer to their email for the front door code. When I asked if he was on the other side of the door, he said he was a few doors down. You couldn’t come to welcome your guests—and to show them to their rooms? No, we had to do that on our own. We were probably the other people in the inn—it was like “Night at the Museum.” A beautiful home, but very cold without a friendly face to make us feel welcome. Breakfast the next morning was oranges, yogurt, and cereal. I’ve had a better breakfast buffet at a more modestly priced hotel. Don’t waste your money—there are far nicer (and welcoming) B&Bs in town.
