리싱턴 인(Rissington Inn)

Rissington, feels like our home from home. We were lucky enough to spend a good deal of time there away from the UK winter. As always welcoming and warm atmosphere. Shirley and crew were fantastic. Accomplished management of bar and restaurant. We had some great fun and interesting conversations on the bar stoep! The food is fantastic. There was nothing on that menu that I didn’t like, however the crumbed fillet is my favourite. Aside from meat the vegetarian and vegan menu also very tasty. Comfortable beds and hot showers. Highly recommended and we will be back.

For those of us of a certain age and who aren't interested in a high tech holiday, Rissington Inn ay Hazyview provides the ideal location to sit back, unwind, relax and refresh. The hotel is set in spacious grounds with terrific views and an atmosphere that is just right. Don't be put off by the somewhat bumpy driveway as once you arrive at the hotel itself you find yourself in an oasis of tranquility. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a garden suite which was extremely spacious and pleasantly cool in the extremely hot weather. The only downside was the lack of power from the outside shower which was a shame but acceptable. The bar/restaurant area is located in the main building a short walk away where you can meet and chat with other guests. The food is of excellent quality with a lovely touch on Valentines Day of a specially themed menu. A special shout out to Natasha who is a lovely bubbly and vivacious character and who went out of her way to be extremely hospitable. We really can't wait to return but next time for a longer stay.

It's a beautiful property close to Kruger. The rooms are great with lots of hot drink options. The management appears to only hire nice people and the guests enjoyed engaging with them. The food is equal to top Jhb restaurants - very imaginative, tasty options.

We really enjoyed our time at Rissington, it was a great base before we went on safari. Everyone we interacted with was really friendly and we enjoyed having a cocktail in the evening after dinner. The food was really good, we eat outside one evening and food we had at Rissington was much better and great value. We booked the in room massage and couldn’t recommend this enough, it was so relaxing and finished our time there in the best way. The air conditioning was a bit weak in the room and you would have to have it on for some time in the evening before the room was comfortable.

The view from the hills of Hazyview is one to be cherished. I loved everything about this place from the food to the quality and detail of the rooms. The host are wonderful and attentive!!

Absolute gem of a place. Staff are friendly, rooms are neat and clean. Food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended

The stay was pleasant from the time we entered the main gate right through to being received warmly at reception, we were offered cold lemonade to cool us down. The lady(mother to the twins, sorry i forgot her name)that attended to us was very kind and patient with us. We were ushered to our cottage and given all necessary information. Lovely place, squeaky clean, extremely comfortable and feels homely.

The Rissington's strap-line is Relax, Revive, Remember. I'll confess that on previous visits I may have relaxed to the point of no-longer remembering and required considerable revival... But that was just me. Set in quiet, beautiful grounds the Rissington Inn is an oasis of understated elegance. The service is peerless, the food wonderful and the views breathtaking. The new pool is wonderful, although not, as Mr Harvie the owner claims, an infinity pool. Even with my eye-sight I could see all of the edges quite clearly... Nevertheless, superb and inspirational as ever.

We stayed 1 night in this hotel after arriving from Johannesburg and just before going on a safari. This was the perfect spot to relax after a long flight. The hotel was affordable and authentic, staff amazing, views breathtaking. The food was also really good. A big thanks to the team who upgraded us as it was our honeymoon. The little written note to greet us was also a very nice touch. Would recommend!
