레 소비에(Les Sorbiers)

Photos and descriptions suggest it‘s a beautiful chalet you‘re staying at, unfortunately you will stay next door to the chalet (which houses the restaurant and bar). The rooms were rather basic, toilet without a window stank, noise travelled from other rooms, mattress quite used up and super soft; bathtub was nice, though. The restaurant offers a fine dining 3-course menu, which was okay but did not live up to the appearance of the hotel architecture and presentation on the website. Too expensive for the quality you get, they present it nicely and staff was friendly - barely spoke English though.

Absolutely fantastic value for money. This is a £300 plus room per night. Lovely staff, beautiful location, property with great food and drinks. The rooms were like new and the standard of decor is top draw. This was a complete and very pleasant surprise at the end of a mini euro tour.

We stayed in the hotel for 1 night. It is not a luxury boutique hotel as you can see from the pictures. The restaurant &food was good. Maybe we were given the worst room. The attic section was disgusting and dirty with stains on the bed sheets. Children's matress was waterproof and very noisy and uncomfortable 🥵, our child could not get to sleep in the attic. I had a sleepless night in the attic with dirty bedsheets. Let me come to check out. The lady ingnored us for a couple of mins after serving everyone else and being very friendly with other people. We said hello and she kept ignoring us. Then she tried to charge us for the items from the restaurant that we did not have. Then she tried to charge us for the room again (it was all prepaid). The breakfast is very average for 14 EUR per person. The location is great, the room we had was not great, very cheaply decorated and not clean.

An overnight stop on the way to the alps. Set in its own grounds by the river, a very peaceful place. Good size bedroom Tea making facilities would have been appreciated.

Extremely nice place, very pleasant restaurant and extraordinary friendly service. Would love to come there again.

Great countryside location next to the river. Extensive grounds. Nice BBQ evening meal with plenty of food. and good breakfast. Room in a large annex.

This overnight stay, one of many during our long road trip was the highlight of all our stays. As someone has already said it is a place you will never forget. The service is excellent as is the food. Rooms are clean, fresh and quiet and the surrounding countryside is not to be missed. I would highly recommend a stay here.
