알리아 리조트(Amatra by the Ganges)

Amatra has a unique location within easy accessibility to Haridwar by car. The property is in a unique setting with beautiful surroundings on the banks of the Ganga and is very peaceful away from the busy towns. The food is excellent and Chef Balvantji and staff made every accommodation and request we asked for. Rooms are mainly for 2 people but additional rollaways can make it for 4 people. The leisure faculties including swimming pool (beautiful), badminton, archery, cricket nets and a kids club. Ganga Aarti is held every evening. We attended an excellent yoga session by Mr Hrithik one morning. Santoshji, the General ***ager is very helpful and accommodating, together with all staff. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

This is a beautiful property just by the Ganges and away from the crowd. It is very peaceful here with a tons of activity for kids. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful and you feel like at home. The food was so good with tons of options. Mr. Santosh Lalwani who is a ***ager here helped us a lot in every way he could. I would highly recommend this place for all kinds of needs.

Nice hospitality by Amartya by the Ganges specially the receptionist name Nikita she is really took good care of us. Would highly recommend for families. We enjoyed our stay. The evening Arti and snacks arrangements were fantastic.Hope to stay in future as well.

Our stay at this property was a good one. 1. The approach road is a pakka but a single road with quite a few pit holes. This road is only a 5 minutes drive. Follow the Amatra sign boards for directions and not Google map for the last 10 mins. 2. The resort is huge with lots of trees. You can spot ***go, cheekoo and guava trees too. Pet ducks can be seen in the morning and evening. 3. The river Ganga flows just behind the property with easy direct access. Taking a dip is not allowed here. Short Ganga aarti is performed by panditji every evening between 6-6.30 PM. 4. There are breathtaking morning and evening views of the Shivalik range and river Ganga. 5. They have a lot of indoor and outdoor activities, some are paid though. Swimming pool is of decent length with depth of 4.5 feet. They don’t have a kids pool. 6. The food is delicious and budget friendly. The buffet breakfast has decent options like a 3.5 star property. There are no places to eat nearby, so you need to order in the hotel. If you like drinking cold drinks, make sure you buy from outside before hand because one bottle will cost you around ₹100. You may order on zomato/ swiggy if they agree to deliver here as it gets really dark at night. 7. Rooms are spacious with all basic amenities. We opted for a room with balcony, which was huge. 8. Staff is courteous and service is quick. Overall, a comfortable staycation can be planned here as it’s a little far from the city. But summers can be really hot, so, you won’t be able to step out of your room. Plan in groups to enjoy to the fullest.

This is a hidden jewel, definitely worth a trip here. As the name suggests it is on the edge of the Ganges river and they have an in house priest for any prayer you may want to do. The river is spotless and you can drink from it. Spacious rooms ,large grounds for the kids to run around. They have yoga in the morning , Hrithik is a highly qualified yoga instructor, for beginners to yogis. Each small villa complex has four rooms with balcony access. Great place to just relax.

1. Staff hospitality and behaviour was excellent. Quick and good service, request were given priorities. 2. Breakfast was good, it will be even better if the hotel try to have more good options for the same. 3. Furniture should be updated to more modern functionality, not much cleanliness was there. Please take this seriously! 4. Utensils should be cleaned properly. This should be given utmost priority as well for your guest to have healthy stay ! 5. The signages to your hotel should be illuminated and put up on correct places for the visitors to reach safely even in night.

Amatra by the Ganges is a heaven by the riverside, though pretty much in the middle of nowhere. However, once you reach the Resort though a maze of uncemented village paths, you are floored by the beauty of its well maintained lawns and 12 Villas. Having checked several properties within a 4 hour drive of Delhi for a College Reunion, we decided to book all the rooms at this Resort for the 2 night/3 day reunion, every moment of which was loved by all 70 odd batchmates and their spouses. The rooms are large & spacious with the living rooms and attached lawns providing enough space to the occupants for group activities, while the attached decks offer adequate me-time and privacy to the couples/families. Amatra's Corporate Sales Head, Naresh Sharma was proactive in his suggestions of activities to indulge in while at the Resort and also helpful in providing contact details of local vendors for video shoots, safari etc. which were essential to our event planning. GM Santosh Lalwani, a trained Hotel ***agement professional was there on site to ensure that all our needs for the group events were met in time and without delays. Head Chef Negi and his team curated the ideal menus with delicious fare across cuisines like Pan-Asian, Continental and Indian/Mughlai which were loved by everyone in the group. Housekeeping staff were polite and helpful. So, we have absolutely no hesitation in giving full marks to the staff at Amatra and can only praise their commitment to ensuring the comfort of all guests. Our Group used all facilities available at Amatra, from dining to games, dancing to Live & DJ music, bonfires and even indoor & outdoor games; not to forget the Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Ganges at sunset. Our well planned itinerary ensured that there was enough excitement throughout the stay and that the bonds between the alumni were even stronger by the end of this Reunion.

Loved the stay, all the staff were very courteous & warm. Had forgotten a stuff toy of my kid in the room at departure & the room boy was so swift to get it at the reception before we left, amazing & kudos to him 👏🏻 Location is great away from the hustle bustle, Serene & Tranquil....
