The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean and the views from the bedroom and balcony were nothing short of spectacular. The hosts were delightful and accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that we didn’t stay longer

Exceeded expectations: an absolutely beautiful room, location, lovely hosts who went over and above, and the most amazing view. Super handy for town, walking, biking, spa, we had the BEST weekend in Hanmer. Lots of beautiful birds right in front of your room, watching the changing colour sky over the Leslie hills, listening to beautiful bird song, early hike next to the lodge before breakfast, hot shower, balcony breakfast, loved it all

From the moment we arrived and left Jill and Dave made this location feel like home. The local information supplied was explained in great detail making the visit even more special. The location is exceptional, the rooms and amenities are beautifully presented. Now to the views, to date the most spectacular we have been to in NZ, the gardens are amazing and from the balcony "wow" Thankyou so much for your genuine and pleasurable hospitality both Jill and Dave we feel like we have just left family,thankyou from us all.

Great location and great hosts - very good stay. Easy walking distance to town and the views are outstanding. No problems at all with arrival and settling in for the weekend - the hosts are very friendly and took the time to introduce themselves and provide some really great local knowledge. 10/10

We had an amazing time in Hamner Springs. Jill and Dave's accomodation was in a breathtaking location which is close enough to stroll into town. Rooms were overlooking the mountains. Spacious and everything was perfect and a home away from home. Jill and Dave were fantastic hosts helping us with dinner options, ideas of what to see and do. Breakfast was also complimentary and was lovely. Thanks Jill and Dave for an amazing stay, we will most definitely be back.

Wonderful views from our room made this a great stay for us. Breakfast on the balcony a bonus and really comfy clean rooms. Would return and recommend. Lovely people Jill and Dave made us very welcome and gave really helpful advice for our onward travels.

Friendly and helpful owners, beautifully appointed accommodation, spotlessly clean, probably one of the best locations in town because of the views, breakfast cereals and toast included and home made biscuits, tea & coffee available in guest lounge, free guest use of some mountain bikes and towels for the springs, lovely gardens with exotic sounding bellbirds.

We loved our stay at this lodge, set in a beautiful garden! Very warm welcome from Dave and Jill (more on that later). Comfortable bed, balcony with view, short walk into town and bush walks starting at the back gate. After arriving in Nelson next day we discovered we had lost our wallet somewhere in Hanmer Springs (cash, credit cards). Dave kept us updated on the search, and arranged for its safe return. We highly recommend 8 on Oregon for a stay in Hanmer Springs, this was a great overnight break for our drive from Christchurch to Golden Bay, and we will stay again!

We had a lovely stay with Jill & Dave who were very welcoming. The view from the deck was stunning & and a real highlight. We sat out there for ages watching the bellbirds in the garden. Our room was spacious & comfortable with a large ensuite. All our needs were catered for & there was a place for everything. Breakfast was set out each morning in the shared lounge, also with the stunning view & we could eat there, on the deck or in our room. It really was a luxury treat to stay with Jill & Dave at 8 on Oregon. Thanks again!
