Arrived on Wed 6th Sept just before dinner to be informed that the manager has given us an upgrade to the bungalows for 2 nights. Having not known what to expect in the bungalows we were blown away with the large air conditioned room with king size bed, tv, fridge with beer, water and cans of drink, massive shower, storage cupboards and a fantastic view of the beach and sea. We could order meals and drinks to be delivered all day long. We had one evening meal and a breakfast for the experience which was first class. After two nights we were told we can have another night, then another two nights, then on the 5th day told to stay. We stayed around the pool area most of the day for the ambiance rather than being isolated in a luxury bungalow all day. The comments about the food being awful is unfounded in our opinion. There were plenty of options throughout the day to prevent you from having the same every meal. I had the stir fries a couple of times for lunch and burgers in the pool snack van. although the hamburgers were cold was my only gripe. The restaurant could do with more waiters clearing and laying tables quicker but the waiters that were there all tried their best and this didn't put us of enjoying our break. The egg chef was very pleasant. flip or not?? Abdel and Brian work hard all day, out early morning getting mattress for sunbeds (plenty to go around) and pulling up the parasols. Special mention to Dhaker, Ben and Anis the waiters, all hard working and made sure you always had a drink, very attentive and professional. There were other waiters and bar staff that were as good but these three stood out . Sou Sou was great with the morning and afternoon darts and many friends were made by playing a few games and having a laugh. Don't know most of their names as Sou Sou had a nickname for everyone. The international restaurant on the beach for dinner was superb. We had Italian and Asian set meals and were delicious. The cleaners work hard all day. Evening entertainment was hit and miss but that is personal preference. The Zanzana band were excellent. A mention to the manager who has to put up with all sorts of moans and complaints all day however he was the only hotel manager that made a point of getting on the coach and thanking people and wishing them a safe journey. I do think the manager or a staff member should be commenting on these posts though. There were a couple of negative points, some mentioned but the overall experience out numbers these and the hotel staff make this a hotel you want to come back to. Already booked for next September. Looking forward to another upgrade :)
