This is just a house that rents out rooms by the night, not the MacMaster dormitories. Only parking for 1 car for the whole house, despite having 3 or 4 separate rooms, otherwise its street parking. Much of the house, bedroom and common spaces, are in various states of disrepair.

Good value for money. Two bathrooms are shared with nine or 10 bedrooms/guests, so no issue with that. Room #2 is beside one of the bathrooms, so the folks having a 6:00 AM shower will wake you up.

NO AIR CONDITIONING. I was shocked to find out they do not have air or ceiling fans. Nothing. Just morbid stifling heat. We went to another hotel just to survive. Average temp the weekend I was there was 30 Celsius. Not having air in August 2024 is UNACCEPTABLE. How do you say a cheap owner without saying a cheap owner?

난간도 없는 현관에서 발을 한 번만 내딛어도 거대한 싱크홀에 빠져 죽을 수도 있습니다! 이렇게 위험한데도 아직까지 폐쇄되지 않았다는 게 놀라울 따름입니다. 6미터가 넘는 낭떠러지 아래는 아찔한 높이인데, 안전장치라고는 작은 말뚝 두 개와 바람에 날리는 낡은 경고 테이프 하나뿐입니다. 더 끔찍한 건 주인이 거의 없고 전화도 잘 안 돼서 이 끔찍한 숙소가 초래하는 모든 문제를 해결해주지 않는다는 점입니다. 수압은 최악이라 변기는 항상 막혀 있고, 침구는 더럽고 세탁도 안 한 티가 나며, 여름에는 에어컨도 없어서 방 온도가 35도 이상으로 올라갑니다. 게다가 집 앞과 옆쪽에는 죽음의 덫이 될 만한 거대한 싱크홀이 있고, 다른 투숙객들과 예약이 겹쳐서 한 방이 이중 예약되는 일도 빈번한데, 밤낮으로 아무도 해결해주지 않습니다! 이 공포영화 같은 숙소는 5점 만점에 1점도 받을 자격이 없습니다. 정말 최악이에요. 이 숙소는 영구 폐쇄되어야 합니다! 절대 묵지 마세요!

⭐ 1 Star – Completely Misrepresented and Unacceptable I would give this property zero stars if Trip Advisor allowed it. Before booking, I specifically asked whether this was a house. I was told it was not a house and that I was booking a hotel room. I was also told that upon arrival I would need to provide a major credit card and valid photo ID. When I arrived at 165 Emerson St, Hamilton, I was absolutely shocked. The property looked nothing like a hotel or legitimate guest accommodation. The exterior appeared severely neglected, with open windows without screens, a bag of cigarettes on the front step, no visible air conditioning, an unmaintained lawn, and what appeared to be a boarded-up side door. The overall condition and appearance of the property were extremely concerning and did not give me any confidence that this was a safe or suitable place to stay. Even worse, there was nobody there and no way to access the property or the supposed hotel room. There was also nobody available to check my ID or credit card as I had been told would happen. I immediately contacted the booking provider to try to resolve the situation. Despite having driven approximately 25 minutes to get there, I was essentially told that because I had already confirmed and paid, there was nothing they could do. So I was left standing outside a property that did not resemble the hotel accommodation I had been promised, with no access to a room and no one available to assist me. I then had to find and pay for completely different accommodations for the night. I have photographs of the property taken when I arrived and can provide them to support this review. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. The property was not represented to me accurately, I could not access the accommodation I paid for, and there was no one there to resolve the situation. I would strongly recommend that potential guests do their research and verify exactly what they are booking before paying for this property. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not stay here again.
