This historic hotel is not far from hitting a sweet point. It is so much outdated that it starts to become vintage. However there would need to make some adjustments to not make us feel that it is simply too old :). I would keep the style but the corridor need to be improved with for example, wooden ceiling and painting in style of the original design (art deco for example). Cleaner windows, bathroom can stay in similar style but should be renovated... I mean that the style should be kept but everything should also be updated. There are also lots of activities around but not advertised properly. We were not interested in that but it is probably one of the main advantages of the place. The offered cocktail for children was actually really good. On the negative side I must say that we are not satisfied with the stay. The waiting time at the reception is absolutely unacceptable. I had checked online (and paid in advance...) to smoothen the process and STILL I spend a good 45min waiting. And this seems to be a feature of the place. However, the personal was very kind. But the biggest disappointment is the breakfast. It is huge but fully ready made. Nothing is good. Huge quantities and variety but nothing to enjoy. The worst of the worst are to offer pancakes that comes from the same box you can buy at S-Market. How hard it is to make them? The ham selection is of the cheapest quality possible. Cheeses are tasteless. There is actually absolutely nothing that I can say was ok on the table. So, sure, if you are used to supermarket food, that is fine. But at the price of the room, I expect more. I expect that some items are made in house. At least a pie and pancakes, jam... and the rest has to be sourced properly. Also, beware that I did not notice any air conditioning, so in warm summer, it will be properly unbearable. I can safely say that I will not recommend this place and will most likely not return. This is the archetypal wannabe upclass hotel, that is actually just trying to save money on all items.
