스칸딕 헤메린나 시티(Scandic Hameenlinna City)

Staff was nice and always smile and helpful. Breakfast was ok but not like a Hotel. Nothing in room. No tea bag or coffee in room, no iron, no cup no telephone. You need to go to the reception in person to ask for something. No air conditioner only had a small fan in the room so sleep not well due to feel hot. Toilet in the room was big enough for 2 persons stay inside. Sauna room very dark no towel supplied in the sauna room.

Bit ”outdated” hotel but within a central location in town. Rooms are clean, but walls & doors are very thin, so noise from corridor & neigboring rooms can be easily heard. Sauna was nice, but washing room was bit filthy…. Food in restaurant quite standard, or even bit below that, but personnel in all occasions were very nice and polite. So if you are just overnighting that’s fine, but people looking for nice experience, should probably go elsewhere…. Ps. Hotel has both indoors (narrow parking slots) and outdoors own parking space.

I have stayed at Scandic Hämeenlinna City a couple of times during the last 2 years and it is always perfect. The hotel is very calm and relaxing. The breakfast is also wonderful and there is a sauna etc. I always love coming to this hotel after a long trip.

The room was quite dirty, the floor had large stains (that might even be in the floor material so they won't even clean out - the parquet might not be the best material choice). The room had two chairs and both were dirty as the chairs in the restaurant too (had to check if they were wet before sitting). The rooms have poor sound proofing, so the sleep was not very good. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good even for a person who has gluten free diet. If you are looking for a roof over your head and a place to sleep this is ok hotel. But if you hope for peace & quiet and quality time with your partner this might not be the smartest choice.

Impossible to sleep! There is a bar in the hotel and they play music until very late. I could feel the bass even though i had earplugs. Would have liked a good night sleep, did not get it. Do not go there if you want to sleep.

We were in Finland for a race in Lahti. Close enough for us to stay and the town was really cool, centered with a castle and a good military museum.

Nice friendly staff at front desk and breakfast. At the bar you got the feeling that you bothered them so many people went out to other places instead. Breakfast was gret! Rooms had no aircondition so it was quit high temperature in them and we had no showergel or shampoo either. We had no fan in our room as we where told it should be, heard 3 others that had fans but they where all broken. Good location at city centre!

Certainly the most unwelcoming hotel in the city. In the dustbin I found trash of the lerson who ocuppied the room previously and the doener smell was awful. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell as well, tje bathroom is flooded after you take a shower. Furniture very basic and well used. Breaksfast was ok but choices scarce compared to other Scandic Hotels. Better invest your money at the SOKOS close to the station.

Expensive room didn't have air conditioning, the shower was out of soap, the equipping of room was poor (no clothes iron, sewing kit or anything), television was pretty small compared to other hotels with same price, no bath foam for bath tub, the room safe didn't work. It felt more like a motel than hotel, the soundproofing was poor (sounds came through from other rooms and hallway pretty clearly, for example vomiting sounds). The parking was quite expensive as well (18 euros per night). Definitely cannot recommend this hotel, take your money elsewhere.
