Had a really good stay here Dec 22. Standard rooms are spacious, have walk in shower, a fridge with water, safe box, toiletries etc. Large TV, (TV channels in English limited to a news channel), table, black out curtains, air con/heating controls - all what you would expect. Privilege rooms are the same but seem to have a bath/shower and a Tassimo coffee maker and pods as extras. There were also some soft drinks in privilege rooms fridges, but I wasn't sure if they were chargeable or not so didn't use. There are. good size comfy beds and two duvets (one for each side), and each room has a quirky 'Hamburg dock theme' - which basically meant the room had a 'shipping container' type wardrobe and fridge cover, which was a fun touch, but they were really noisy to use! Bar and restaurant were nice and cosy, prices to eat there were quite a bit higher than expected but there are plenty of places in Hamburg to get what you need a little cheaper. On par with Uk prices. Lifts operated with room key card so that is a bit of extra security. There is a sauna at the hotel too, but I didn't know before hand so didn't use it. Staff were friendly and efficient. Location is great. Central station is out the front door turn right onto the (busy) main road and follow it all the way into town (10 min walk for a regular walker). Or Hammerbrook station is turn right out the hotel door, down some steps to the river and turn right (you walk past the side of the hotel) you can see the ''red' raised train platform in front of you. You need to cross over to the other side of the river to access the station. Would recommend.
