더 펜트하우스 앳 더 헤이그 타워(The Penthouse at the Hague Tower)

My husband, baby and myself had the unfortunate displeasure of staying in the Penthouse Apartments. Upon day of arrival we entered our room with an intense smell of ****, as if the room was saturated in it. We phoned reception immediately and they offered to spray the room with air freshener after they acknowledged the smell. They knocked on the room next to ours, however no repercussions were met despite every door having a ‘no smoking’ sign clearly labelled. We then insisted we have a new room as this posed a danger to our 3 month old. As the week proceeded we had our ‘please make up my room’ sign illuminated at the front door with the expectation that our room will be cleaned daily, 3 days passed and no housekeeping. After my husband wrote an email to reception we were informed that rooms are only cleaned before arrival and after departure. If this is the case, why have door signs ‘please make up my room’ available to guests!? Contradicting messages. Finally, upon our last evening there was more **** wafting in through the walls. My husband opened a window hoping to air the smell, however it was clear that more **** was wafting through the neighbouring apartments. Again, this posed a health risk to our small baby if we were to sleep in a room smelling of ****. As a result, we moved to other accomodation at 03:00 AM after phoning 12 hotels (proving our desperation to get out of there). Overall, an atrocious stay. Clearly there are NO standards of care regarding the ‘smoking rule’. If no standard of care is maintained, then don’t advertise a non-smoking establishment because that is pure deception.

My stay at The Penthouse was enjoyable. The view made the room stand out from most rooms in The Hague. Since I never need a credit card, I don't own one. When checking in, this was kinda of a hurdle. On the ******* website it said that a debit card would function too and that just a down payment would be enough, sadly enough the person behind check in was surprised and said that they ******* clearly said that check in was with credit card only. Later home I checked and this was not the case. The employee said for this time you can pay the deposit with your debit card and get the money back later if nothing is broken. Which I was fine with. She noted down my details and I paid. After a pretty decent time of waiting, I finally got the explanation of how to go up to the room and how everything works, which was good explained by her. The room itself was nice. Everything was clean, the only thing that didn't look that clean was the shower head, it looked like it was stained pretty bad with calcium which could easily could be fixed in my opinion. Nevertheless, I had a good experience for one night.

I booked the penthouse over other places for one reason. The sky bar and the restaurant. my wife had knee surgery and we didn’t want to walk much so I wanted a place to stay with a good restaurant on site. I was told on check in the Restaurant had been closed a long time. The web site and Hotel.com site brags about the wonderful sky bar snd Restaurant. If it’s been closed “ a long time “ that’s a lie and false advertisement. We loved the unit but didn’t fit our needs.

Inside appartment is good. Everything around could fet an update.

Good hotel . You will love the smart features

The purpose of the visit was relaxing get-away before getting the vaccination the next morning. Unfortunately the stay wasn't as relaxing as expected. There were sigaret holes in the blanket, big dirty spot on the couch, coffee cups in the kitchen were used. Housekeeping didn't do their job properly. Furniture was old, wiring was visible, ceiling was dirty. It wasn't worth 390 euro that we spent at this facility during our stay. For such price for 1 night I expect better quality.

De locatie is uniek, uitzicht op zee! Terwijl je nog midden in de stad zit. Superservice van de receptie, duidelijke uitleg, korting op parkeren.

Je suis venue pour passer un agréable moment dans votre hôtel jusqu’à ce que je tombe sur votre réceptionniste. Cette femme est d’un non-professionnalisme incroyable, hautaine, irrespectueuse, on s’est fait insulter et humiliées ! Vous devriez revoir le personnel que vous engagez, pour un établissement comme le vôtre ce genre de personnes n’y a clairement pas sa place et salit votre nom !!
