Amazing service. Terrible sleep quality, very loud. Delicious breakfast.

I called the hotel and asked if they had baths and they said yes. And the handicapped room said it was a bath with grab bars. When i checked in they wanted to upcharge me for exact same Room type except one had a bath. After I confirmed and reserved the room and paid full price. They had plenty of rooms with bass available it was the most insane thing I’ve ever seen anybody in the front desk due. I text customer service and I think I was dealing with some sort of computer and not a person. They finally said if you want to talk to a real person we need your phone number. And then they said it might take up to 24 hours to get a phone call after I’ve spent an hour trying to figure it out with them digitally. I’m in the hotel want to go to limited service hotels and this is one of the most insane crazy things I’ve ever seen a hotel due to a good customer.

The rooms are pretty sound proof. I could not hear anyone in the rooms next to me, above me, or below me. And the blinds are blackout. Both of these things really helps to get a good night's sleep.

I love the city of Guadalajara, unfortunately I made the mistake of staying at the Hotel 1970. This hotel is part of the AMEX travel collection and qualifies for additional perks, however the perks are not worth the hassle. There are many other cheaper and better hotels near by like Hard Rock, Riu, Baruk and many others. If you are a light sleeper, or expect a clean room, do not stay in this hotel. Street noise: Next to an incredibly busy avenue. Kept being woken up by loud cars. The hotel only has about 5 floors and suite has glass single pain windows along the wall therefor you can hear everything. AC: Loud and raddled Poorly Maintained: See pictures Staff: Was told AC would be fixed and it didn’t happen. Staff is polite but they are not empowered to take care of customers. I brought noise concerns and they apologized but didn’t assist. Overcharge: Prepaid via AMEX travel and they charged additional costs because according to them I was “undercharged for the room” even though I prepaid in advance. I am not one to leave reviews however the lack of sleep did affect my overall stay and therefor I want to ensure others know what to expect if they stay there.

Being part of AMEX hotel collection, I have some minimum level of service I expect. Unfortunately, the hotel did not deliver. We were “upgraded” to a corner view room, which moved us from a 70 sqm suite room to a 38 sqm room. Not sure why being moved to a smaller room is considered an upgrade. We had the spectacular view of the highway that comes with the traffic noise and the vibration whenever a truck drives by. The amenities are basic. Housekeeping did not even replace our toiletries during our 3 night stay. They leave 2 towels, one hand towel and no washcloth or face towel. The bathroom is badly designed with the water flowing out of the shower room. We needed to put towels so it does not flood through the bathroom. The shower head is barely hanging on the ceiling, the vent is also very dirty. The water temperature changes throughout your shower. From cold to hot to cold to hot again without even have to move the knobs. We had dinner at JAlL restaurant. The food is expensive but not very good. The service takes a long time. At the end, the server told us that we have to leave minimum of 10% gratuity. Same issue we had with breakfast - server told us we cannot charge our gratuity to the room but we had to leave it in cash. Overall, we left disappointed with the stay.

Our event booked here some rooms, hotel was nice, I mean, property and our room. Everything nice and goo quality at the room; nice wall of Tequila at the Hotel Lobby Bar, outstandig view. There's a band or music that plays until 11pm around so make it little noisy Staff when I booked was really good, the day after seems to be that some of the guys hate other service members and were kind of rude. Breakfast is poor, in four days only one day was ok in service, but seems that the staff is underpayed or unhappy with their jobs, so you may skip it. At the top floor there's a bar, really nice view, services is bad, prices are cheap for USA/European; somehow high for Mexicans; we experienced that one of the waitress was a little bit rude and at the end charge us more for the drinks, all day in bad mood, anything you ask she said that we should wait (even when the place was almost empty) so if you are a Mexican is kind of racist this area wih this girl. Maybe you need to hire a real manager that check it out all services, I think is great facility, poorly served by some members; You should think twice to attend top floor open bar, unfriendly and kind of racist place; review the chek prior to leave; also some drinks are poorly presented The only guys always saying hi and friendly: security personnel at lobby, or maybe you have a very bad five days during my stay. Finally they took no IHG One Rewards, girl at lobby said they have no system connected to fidelity club.. Guys need to improve, services business is mostly about : service.

There is no way this hotel rates 4 stars. They said I didn’t pay for the breakfast with my reservation so I showed them my confirmation, it took them 10 minutes on their computer to hand me the coupons. Toilet and shower didn’t work, bar upstairs beats the entire hotel until midnight with booming bass. First night room was terrible. They moved us for the 2nd night. Still the music boomed. Breakfast buffet is bad. No washcloths in bathrooms. This shouldn’t be called a Hilton Hotel. First and last stay.

What a terrible stay! Nightmare. Arrived exhausted after a 6 hour drive. Hotel room we booked looked NOTHING like photos. Hotel had tried to give us an old room and not the refurbished nice rooms advertised on the website. Total tip off. Had to pay slightly more for one of the refurbished rooms. Rooms at closet inspection were very badly finished. Photos attached. Walls dirty, loo roll holder almost hanging off. Light switches all covered in paint and crooked…… We asked for the sofa bed to be made up for our child and we were told no! That there was no one available at 10.30pm to make up any bed. We were offered ONE bedsheet that was badly stained, worn and completely wrinkled like it had never been ironed. Also we were give one, again very wrinkled pillow and pillowcase and a green Blanc let in a very dirty bag. Shocking. Don’t know what to say! Does the HILTON GROUP know that this hotel is running their name through the muck? So upsetting To add insult to injury this Hilton Hotel advertises Premium Egyptian cotton bedding!!!!
