The couple who own and rent the chalet are amazing. Really handful and happy people. I really felt at home as it is a little house guest. Great views and very close to the town! I will definitely come back and I highly recommend it!!!

The room is comfortable if have a balcony and view. The breakfast was dry and large. The reception was too dry as I told them I had a hobby of collecting hotel umbrellas - they then became very suspicious if I did need an umbrella and said I would be charged a deposit. Whatever. It is a nice umbreIla and l liked the racing green colour but the hotel logo looks like a stamp from a beer can. I liked it none the less, so when I returned I said I would buy the umbrella. They told me they were 30chf with no guarantee and I could pick from the preloved bouquet at the front of the hotel. Of course no receipt was given. Was incredibly cold and stingy with no kind welcome at all. Luckily on my way there I met with B.Ecclestone who could make any bad day great.

Wonderful hotel, super clean, contemporary chalet style, friendly staff, involved owners. We travel 3 months a summer from Florida. This is now a favorite hotel. We stayed 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the room, view, balcony, garden and meals (half board). We definitely want to return soon. Minutes to town. An ideal vacation spot for r&r and beauty.

Inept and inexperienced check in staff. Paid for Queen room but had a 50% surcharge at check in for 2nd occupant. Underground hotel parking was closed and not informed that parking spots by hotel entrance was ticketed for by city. Mediocre breakfast. Very dated interior. Feels like 1960s office corridors.

Stayed at Hotel Gstaaderhof for 1 night at the end of March with my daughter. Met promptly at station & taken in free shuttle to hotel. Reception staff were very welcoming & friendly and as the hotel was quiet we were given a free upgrade. The room and whole hotel was spotlessly clean, the room was tastefully decorated & provided robes, slippers, toiletries, free water in the minibar, tea/coffee facilities. We used the leisure facilities in the evening and at certain points were the only people inside the spa area, having sole use of the sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, showers & relaxation area. We had planned to visit Glacier3000 but it was closed due to strong winds. Reception staff were really helpful, checking other lifts & advising buses required. We had a fantastic few hours at Hornberg. Although our stay was short, it was a fantastic mixture of activities and relaxation in a beautiful hotel in beautiful location. Thank you for a wonderful experience, I would not hesitate to recommend.

Best Xmas holiday with friends and family. The hotel is gorgeous, comfortable and offers a series of activities that are truly amazing for all. Kids get a choice of 3 playrooms, adults have access to the wellness spa: amazing. On top of this, the evening menus are outstanding and served by a fabulous multilingual team who tended to our needs and requests with kindness and in style! We are all planning our next Xmas holidays here for the next few years without any hesitation.

This is the best hotel I have been to this year! Everything is tasteful, thoughtful and useful! Tailormade customers service and lots of positive energy throughout the place! The stuff are great, the breakfast is abundant and the bar is what a bar should be :)

This is the second time we are staying in this hotel. This time we stayed for 2 days. From welcome drink to the complimentary drop to the railway station – everything was just wonderful. The rooms are neat, cozy and of good size. The best is the view from the balcony which was just amazing. Breakfast was abundant with wide varieties – also they served hot eggs/omelets/bacon from the kitchen. The railway station and the promenade was just 7-8 min walk. We would highly recommend this hotel to all tourists.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. We had a junior Alpine suite , which being an elderly couple in need of space and comfort, was exactly what we wanted. The beds were comfortable and there was ample storage space, enough to camp there for a few weeks if necessary! The hotel is in a quiet location, a few steps from the pedestrian zone. The underground parking was great. As we used the Gstaad guest card for travelling around free on public transport, we didn’t use the car at all during our stay. The breakfast was very good and varied. Any hot food had to be ordered which was excellent and meant not having to scoop out luke-warm eggs from a serving bowl like in certain other hotels. We had room service one evening as we wished to eat in our room. Our order arrived spot on the hour we had requested and the food was delicious. We also had drinks during an afternoon in the garden and one evening in the bar which was very pleasant. A friendly young lady serving in the bar made me an excellent non-alcoholic cocktail ! The personnel at the reception were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly recommend this hotel and if ever again in Gstaad we know where we’ll be staying !
