We stayed at the hotel there were thousands of flies on the beds and everywhere we waited 2 hours for a different room than the one he paid for and didn't compensate us with anything. My daughter was pregnant and was afraid of being stung they promised to compensate us but after we left they deny

Went to Thatch House as a part of our Honeymoon and had the absolute best time. Would highly recommend to anyone! The staff, location, food, and accommodations were all incredible. The hotel is vary spacious and every room is full of beautiful patterns, tasteful décor and fresh flowers. Simply the best hotel staff we have ever encountered! Kim proactively worked with us to ensure we had all accommodations needed for excellent days out - booking transportation, lunch recommendations and reservations, and support above & beyond any other hotel we've been to. Ivan and Stefnie handled our food service and were absolutely delightful. Little details like if you had a preference for still or sparkling water would be remembered; really top notch. The food was fabulous and well-priced; made-to-order breakfast was provided each morning and we chose to have dinner there every night as well - the meals were fantastic and it made sense to maximize our time experiencing the incredible views and service at Thatch House. The room service was also first-rate and incredibly attentive. Thank you to the staff for an unforgettable Honeymoon!

From the moment we arrived at The Thatch House in Hermanus, we were greeted with warmth and exceptional care. Every member of the staff went above and beyond, ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect. The attention to detail throughout the property is impeccable, creating an atmosphere of pure peace and relaxation. Each day felt like the most relaxing holiday, made even more special by the outstanding food that delighted every sense. Truly a remarkable experience- we can’t wait to return!

The most beautiful thatched boutique hotel set in a very peaceful and stunning location overlooking the lagoon. Heaven!! It is about 5kms outside Hermarnous so not far and taxis available if needed. Our room, The Waterfall Suite was beyond beautiful. Honestly, have never stayed in such a beautifully decorated and clean room overlooking the stunning lagoon. The bedding is wonderful, the bed huge and very comfy. The balcony area was amazing and even had a personal sauna. The pool area is again very beautiful and peaceful set in fabulous gardens. The dining/lounge/bar area is also sublime. The food was very nice. A big thank you to Kim and all the wonderful staff who without exception were warm, friendly and wonderful. They couldn't do enough for you. Thank you. I am so sorry but i have forgotten the name of the lovely lady that looked after us most days. So sorry!! We stayed three nights and was very very sad to leave. If you want an amazing and memorable experience I would urge you to stay here. We have no hesitation in recommending The Thatch House and will most definitely return. Thank you again to everyone.
