A quiet place to stay. We arrived near dinner time, so had to ring the bell for someone to greet us at reception. Some facilities details could have been shared upon arrival (i.e. access after 10pm). The location is central and you can walk around town by foot. Breakfast is not buffet style, so you need to choose what you will eat next morning. The room was ok, comfortable bed, but the electrical shower was a bit disappointing. The view from the room in the morning was really beautiful.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. The hotel was in a lovely location. The room was spacious and beautiful and the bath was welcome after a day of skiing.
The breakfast was made to order and exceptionally tasty. We also had dinner one evening and the food was of a high standard.

We had a relaxing couple of days at Speyside. The owner was friendly with a good sense of humour. Breakfasts were served and were excellent.

We stayed here during a recent trip. Staff was very nice and helpful. We chose to have dinner and breakfast here and they were both very good, so glad we did. Would recommend the figs and blue cheese but all else was good. We wish the rooms had USB charging outlets that would have been nice for the future. Our room was huge.

Every single staff member was very welcoming. Great nightly dining available in house, with tasty options.
I wish I had more time to explore the surrounding area--as I saw on a map that there are very nice trails close by.
I just have one suggestion-and maybe the owners don't even realize this.... if you're given a top floor room, you get ZERO water pressure. I could barely take a shower, it was a trickle.
Perhaps everyone was showering at the same time in the morning? But if the staff knows this is an issue, they could have mentioned it upon check-in, and I would have gladly taken my shower the night before.

Very clean, well maintained hotel. The room we had was reasonably spacious with a comfortable (firm) bed and very clean. Sound carries through the hotel (creaky floors and banging doors) so your experience may vary depending who else might be in the hotel, but we found it to be mostly quiet with the occasional bit to hallway or outside noise.
The hotel restaurant is very good with a menu that changes slightly from day to day. Restaurant service was a bit slow as they seemed to be understaffed, but the staff were all very friendly despite how busy they looked. Food quality and presentation is excellent. Draft selection is limited to only Peroni with some bottled beers to choose from.
Excellent hot breakfast where you choose from a menu of items the night before and a table and your order is ready at your chosen time.

Food was amazing, best potato scones at breakfast and dinner was gorgeous. Room was very comfortable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. It's a big old building so can be a bit draughty on times, just remember a scarf or a jacket.
If you're not a dog lover this may not be the place for you as some guests had their dogs in the dining room with them.

An older property which has been reasonably well upgraded. No lift and room two floors up. The room was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner menus were quite extensive, with quick service and good quality.
