라구나 비치 호텔 & 리조트(Laguna Beach Hotel & Spa)

We booked our holiday to Laguna beach in oct 2023 because it was a fantastic deal. After reading some of the reviews we were thinking of cancelling our holiday, I'm so pleased we didn't. The hotel has amazing mountain and sea views and has a lovely pool area, rooms were cleaned daily and we always got fresh towels. Food was always good with lots to choose from, I have to follow a gluten-free diet so the chef used to make me gluten-free bread rolls and pancakes. Avi, the restaurant manager, and all his team are assets to the hotel. Alex from the entertainment team always put a smile on our faces. We met lots of lovely people at the hotel and made some fab friends.

Lovely rustic hotel with friendly staff, amazing sea views and paradise islands on the boat trips. Food and drinks were good lots to choose from. Alex was the core of the animation team and Kasoom and Batman provided great bar service. Adi (the sky tv man) ensured we could watch the boxing and football. Great memories made with fantastic friends.

The hotel is exceptional for a 3 star, and although a little tired in places. The staff and the views contribute to making your stay feel like a 5 star. The hotel was very clean and at all times of the day, staff could be seen cleaning surfaces, walls and floors etc. The catering staff were the stars of the holiday, providing a variety of authentic Mauritian cuisine but also providing international themed evening options. The breakfasts had all of the usual staples from full English to continental and everything in between, but the ladies on the egg station deserve specific recognition. Bar services were led by Kusoom, who consistently went above and beyond for patrons, making their holiday experience all the more special. There are many sunbathing options, be it around the pool or a terraced patio or also the man made beach. There is an abundance of parasols both mobile and fixed thatched shelters. The sun beds were plentiful and always clean. There are many excursions available to book, but are far cheaper (approx 70% cheaper) if negotiated with an official taxi driver or via the hotel rather than the holiday reps. Prices were fairly standard and I heard of no one being short changed or feeling cheated. The only criticism I had during my stay was the loud rap style music which nobody appeared to appreciate. The young animation staff totally misjudged their audience and were asked on a daily basis to lower the volume and on many occasions change the genre of music. To get to the hotel, you must pass through the village of Grand River South East. To some guests this was viewed negatively. However, we walked through and around the village on a daily basis and found absolutely everyone to be very friendly.

Well we have just returned from 2 weeks here. And had a great time. Despite the weather letting us down. Google said May is a good time to visit Mauritius. We'll its the beginning of winter and we had mainly poor weather. However whilst this 3 * Hotel is set alone in a poor village ,it is a lovely hotel to stay at. Yes there are some negatives as with anywhere, rooms could do with a bit of makeover,( it got new curtains the day we left. ) Haha. On arrival our room was not a sea view 220. So we asked to be moved and this was accommodated the next day we then had a great view. 304 Room was small but adequate. Mini fridge stocked daily. Clean towels daily. Most of staff are fantastic they can't do enough to make your stay a great one. Day 9 i just didn't fancy what was on offer and said I could just eat a burger. This was no problem and they made it for me. The selection of food is good , salds amazing, however sometimes the meat was quite tough. But there was always something to eat, fresh from the grill , daily chinese night, indian night, Italian night and traditional Mauritian food. Breakfast good. And lots of freshly prepared fruit. The food areas always immaculately clean. Asha does a mean omelette. The all Inc is 10.30 to 10.30. Entertainment needs a manager to sort this out a bit better. I made suggestions to him . Pool area always a pleasure to be around. We made some great friends here as its a small and friendly hotel so everyone chats. Do the trips... we used the boathouse to book the 5 island trip. Fantastic. To sum up. A great stay for the price we paid. £1500 pp 2 weeks all Inc, But if u want luxury then you pay 3/4 times that price in other parts of the island .

The most unique hotel I have been to. With the rustic Mauritian style rooms and layout in the middle of a fishing village. Amazing backdrop of mountains to the pool and bar. Free daily trips to an iconic white sand beach with beautiful colours of the ocean is an added bonus. Being a small hotel meant all the other guests amazing and friendly. Also did not see many children which was a bonus for us. Being a tropical island it will rain and the best time is to go during rainy season… The staff try very hard to tend to your needs and the food has the variety and quality to match most hotels. Very cultural as well as your regular entertainment you’d expect. If you are not happy with the wide selection (meat, fish and vegetarian) then order something from the a la carte menu. Being small means to get to meet and know every one on holiday. Rama our representative for the local holidays I could not fault. Can only recommend 100%. Every trip had was amazing and fully licensed ( thinking travel insurance and if the worst should happen) touch of class to impress the other half. Not that much of a difference between Ben and Rama. By the way You get what you pay for.

We stayed here for 13nights and were a little apprehensive before we arrived. However, from the minute we step foot inside the staff were amazing! We were greeted with a cocktail and seated while checking in. Our room was ready (it was only 11am) which was a bonus and we were given a guided tour on the way to our room. We upgraded room and had an amazing view of the pool, sea and mountains 😍. The food was a good quality - breakfast had everything you could wish for and more. Lunch and dinner had a good selection of chicken, fish, curries, salads, cold meat and bread. Usually 6 or 7 desserts too. The AI drink selection does not include everything on the menu but does include beer, wine, spirits and popular cocktails. The animation team work hard and are always friendly. Entertainment is basic but being a small hotel people tend to group together and mingle at night. The free boat trip was great! We also did 5 island boat trips booked via Ben on the beach. This was fantastic and highly recommend using him as you are picked up from the hotel rather than having to travel down the coast where other companies start from. We also did north and south tour with Mauritius VIP tours and transfers - both were great value for money. We used a taxi outside of hotel for casela park - the driver was great and knowledgeable. All in all a great holiday - it’s not 5* luxury but you’re not paying 5* prices either! Yeah a little TLC would t go a miss but overall we highly recommend! Also was our anniversary while there and our room was beautifully decorated and we were given a cake in the restaurant at night ♥️

Just arrived back from Laguna beach hotel and spa and just need to say WOW what an amazing place the hotel was amazing the STAFF THE ENTERTAINMENT STAFF especially ladouce and Rama always made sure we had everything we needed and was happy the staff I honestly can not fault I've never met such amazing helpful staff at a hotel that will honestly do anything for you thank you for the most beautiful stay deffo needs to be more then a 3 star 😍 pool scenery was absolutely unreal

We have returned from an amazingly relaxed and beautiful holiday at Laguna Beach Hotel. The hotel is situated in a small fishing village, which, after travelling around a fair bit of the island, are very common, and the locals are extremely friendly and welcoming. We hired a car for 3 days and went to some gorgeous beaches and this cost only £70 which was in our opinion a great deal. As expected when on an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, a lot of the food is of Indian origin and there is also a lot of fish. My partner ate so many new things!! As I am a picky eater I found it a little more difficult but there was always something I could eat. I would have been disappointed if there had been pizza, chips and chicken nuggets every night, we went to Mauritius for the experience and not to eat what we can at home every day. In addition, I have been to many all inclusive hotels where people often get ill because food is left sitting out. That is NOT the case here, everything is fresh and hot so sometimes you may have to wait a few minutes. The rooms are dated but very clean with fresh towels every day if you want. Overall, this hotel and its staff are a credit to Mauritius.

We loved this hotel from the minute we arrived. Amazing staff amazing food amazing island x we were so well looked after. We walked the streets outside the hotel. We're completely safe. Everybody said hello to us, do we get that in the UK, are we welcoming to our visitors.? We had the typical British moaning about everything. It's so embarrassing. Tell you what , if you want the UK ( dod knows why?) Stay at home and stop showing the rest of us up!!! Hire a car , 3 days minimum and be enthralled by this paradise island, its people and beaches x GO GO GO
