Just arrived back from Laguna beach hotel and spa and just need to say WOW what an amazing place the hotel was amazing the STAFF THE ENTERTAINMENT STAFF especially ladouce and Rama always made sure we had everything we needed and was happy the staff I honestly can not fault I've never met such amazing helpful staff at a hotel that will honestly do anything for you thank you for the most beautiful stay deffo needs to be more then a 3 star 😍 pool scenery was absolutely unreal

We have returned from an amazingly relaxed and beautiful holiday at Laguna Beach Hotel. The hotel is situated in a small fishing village, which, after travelling around a fair bit of the island, are very common, and the locals are extremely friendly and welcoming. We hired a car for 3 days and went to some gorgeous beaches and this cost only £70 which was in our opinion a great deal. As expected when on an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, a lot of the food is of Indian origin and there is also a lot of fish. My partner ate so many new things!! As I am a picky eater I found it a little more difficult but there was always something I could eat. I would have been disappointed if there had been pizza, chips and chicken nuggets every night, we went to Mauritius for the experience and not to eat what we can at home every day. In addition, I have been to many all inclusive hotels where people often get ill because food is left sitting out. That is NOT the case here, everything is fresh and hot so sometimes you may have to wait a few minutes. The rooms are dated but very clean with fresh towels every day if you want. Overall, this hotel and its staff are a credit to Mauritius.

We loved this hotel from the minute we arrived. Amazing staff amazing food amazing island x we were so well looked after. We walked the streets outside the hotel. We're completely safe. Everybody said hello to us, do we get that in the UK, are we welcoming to our visitors.? We had the typical British moaning about everything. It's so embarrassing. Tell you what , if you want the UK ( dod knows why?) Stay at home and stop showing the rest of us up!!! Hire a car , 3 days minimum and be enthralled by this paradise island, its people and beaches x GO GO GO

Everything about this Hotel is poor at best. I would give this no stars if I could. The food choice is awful. Curry lunch and dinner everyday it's awful! The Hotel needs some TLC its grubby rooms had the same ground in dirt on the floor from when we arrived until we left.. It's in the middle of nowhere you pass by shanti township to get here. The beach is man made the water is filthy as boats are tethered close by. In all honesty Mauritius is not the picture postcard island you may think it is if you've booked this Hotel change it while you can!

I was a little apprehensive as hotel rated 3*on its website yet 4* by mercury who we booked with. Thankfully we had absolutely nothing to b worried about….housekeeping excellent…..all staff lovely and friendly…….food excellent …..freshly poached eggs brought to your table…fabulous cauliflower and cheese sauce to name a few of our favs…...loved the Chinese buffet especially…..beautiful peaceful location easy travel options for sightseeing …. We tried the local bus was brilliant and soooo cheap ….we also hired a car locally it was dropped off at and collected from the hotel ….they decorated our bed for my birthday ……this hotel should definately b 4*

My partner and myself stayed at this hotel recently and what a wonderful holiday it was. The room are comfortable and clean if in need of a little TLC however this adds to the charm. The staff are amazing especially Kusum who deserves a special mention. The restaurant staff and chefs are helpful and professional. I have to follow a gluten free diet, the chef took me round the restaurant, told me what I could eat and if I did not like what was on the menu he would make me something "special" The transfer from the airport is around 1 hour however it is well worth it to get to this little bit of he. Will definitely return in the future.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!! DANGEROUS RESORT - MASKED MAN ENTERED MY ROOM WHILST MY HUSBAND AND I SLEPT. I WOKE UP TO FIND HIM INCHES FROM MY FACE TOUCHING ME. HE ALSO STOLE MY MOBILE PHONE FROM THE BEDSIDE TABLE. HOTEL STAFF DID NOT WANT TO CALL POLICE AND EVENTUALLY DID AFTER 50 MINUTES. HOTEL STAFF BEHIND RECEPTION LAUGHED ABOUT THE SITUATION. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! DANGEROUS UNSAFE RESORT WE ARRANGED FLIGHTS HOME AS SOON AS WE COULD.

This Hotel is much better than its rating. The staff are amazing, they cannot do enough for you especially the Bar and Restaurant Manager (Avi) - went more than out his way to accomodate our needs. The travel rep (Rama) was more than attentive supporting our requirements and assisting where necessary and always available if required. The rooms were cleaned daily and you can have fresh towels daily if requested. It is quite a small hotel but has everything you need for a quiet relaxing holiday, great value for money - we will definitely return soon.

The hotel staff are amazing and make this hotel. From the smiley omelette chef, waitresses, bar staff and cleaners. The reception are very professional and always solve any issues. There was a good selection of drinks on the inclusive menu but you could pay for other drinks. The food was varies every night. I am vegetarian and found something but found one night there was a lack of warm food for me to choose from. The hotel is quiet and very relaxed and a great place to relax, unfortunately one night there was a large group of boys, who where very loud as shouted and ignored all the rules but as said they where there 1 night so didn't ruin the stay. It was advertised they had aquacise and volley ball but there was never any. There was evening entertainment 4 nights out of 7 and it was enjoyable to watch the dancers and singers. The beach was ok but nothing to shout about but again pool was nice to swim in and relax. The free glass bottom boat to the island was a disappoin**ent. All you saw was dead Coral and no fish and the island beach was full of grass and sea**** and again no sea life seen when snorkeling. If you book any trips see Ben who sells the beach wraps for 200 ruppes on the beach. He will organise anything at a very good deal. The hotel rep and beach hut are expensive for trips. I booked some also through trip advisor. The rooms were cleaned daily and you can have fresh towels daily if requested. The waiters most night where quick to take drink orders and clear plates and again were very polite, happy and friendly. The spa I didn't use as thought it was pricey. Overall I thought the hotel was lovely and would stay again.
