하라 일리오스 빌리지(Hotel Hara Ilios Village)

The hotel is very nice and clean with olive trees and other beautiful plants around. Also it’s quiet and peaceful and nice for relaxing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The wellness section CRETA SPA with STAMATIS and SPURIDOULA is very much recommendable. It‘s really worth to book the whole boddy massage called „cretan massage“. You feel like in heaven… Meals: GEORGOS, the chef, prepares absolutely delicious food with a lot of love for details. For sure I‘ll come back.

Room and service was excellent. We had a room with our own pool and double sun bed, which was great to relax on. Breakfast and dinner buffet was good, plenty of variation each day. Dillon and all the other staff very welcoming. Also my wife an I had a full cretan massage at the spa, Stamatis and his colleague were superb, they both sorted out our aches and pains..the whole experience left us so relaxed. Thank you all. Super nice welcome, all the staff is very kind and always full of attention. We had a great room with little private swimming pool, new facilities and all the spaces are clean. The buffet is correct for the price. We even got a surprise b-day cake in the room to celebrate my husband’s birthday! 🥳

After we visited the Hara Ilios apartments back in august 2022, we couldn’t wait to turn back to this beautiful hotel. I’ll be writing about our first time here (august 2022). We had an amazing warm welcome at the reception with a cool lemon drink when we waited for the key to our room. We got a room upgrade, where we surprisingly had a suite with a private pool! We didn’t book this suite in the first place, but ofcourse we didn’t mind! The second time we came around, we booked a normal room. Obviously it was not as luxurious as the first time, but it was great anyway! The room is being cleaned every morning. The hotel is also very eco friendly giving that they only put clean towels in the room, if you’ve thrown your dirty towels on the bathroom floor. They mention this when you first come into your room as well, to strive for a green environment. We thought this is a very big step to sustainability coming from a hotel! The public pool was also great and very clean. The bar next to the pool area is provided with tropical cocktails, delicious bites and friendly staff. The hotel is near the coast, so if you rather bathe in the sea, it’s only 2 minutes away from where you are staying! There are a few restaurants close to the hotel, but if you’d rather stay in for the night, you can also dine at the hotels restaurant. The buffet here has a broad range of food, and also has a delicious choice of desserts. As the hotel is not too far located from the Heraklion airport, there are many planes that fly over. We found it really awesome to see these arrive throughout the entire day, but I quite understand it to be annoying to some people. There are multiple ways to explore the island. To go from Gouves, where the hotel is, you can take the bus at bus stop 13 to Heraklion, the capital city of the island. The hotel also has connections with tour guides that provide excursions to multiple areas of Crete. Not only do you visit the beautiful landmarks of the isle, but you also see the magnificent landscapes during the bus ride. The third way to get to know the island better, is to rent a car that the hotel provides. We didn’t do this, but it’s a great opportunity to discover the area yourself! Last but not least, the staff was incredibly friendly. The second time we visited, they remembered us. It was truly amazing to see how well the hotel is treating their guests! They are an ultimate factor in the experience of our time here! An amazing thank you to the crew! Both of our stays were excellent!

A recommendable, quietly situated hotel in a generously maintained green outdoor area surrounded by typically Greek-built accommodation, with an inviting pool and about 150 m from the sea. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff, both at the reception and in the service, and an attentive cleaning staff, who ensure a tip-top clean complex and an always clean room. A rich and varied breakfast buffet surprises the guests.

Spent a wonderful week here recently and cannot fault it one bit. Arrived later on in the night and they had drinks and food ready. Upgraded to a superior room (they were newly built) and immaculate, modern with all the amenities (including a fridge, air con, tv, good shower, free safe) it was so lovely! Balcony which we could see the sea from and so peaceful. The staff were just incredible, all so attentive, pleasant and couldn’t do enough for you (the cocktails were also fab). Really clean, food was wonderful with a great selection for (we were half board so breakfast and dinner, both lovely). Anna (the manager) helped assisting us with booking some amazing day trips, nothing was too much trouble. Bus stop (which is so easy to catch and plan your route) is a 5 min walk one way, and then beach is a 5 min walk the other way. Plenty to do in walking distance with it still feeling very peaceful at the hotel. So glad we chose here after our last holiday being 2018, really is a home away from home. Will 100% be coming back and would definitely recommend if you want a lovely trip to Crete!

The hotel is average 3 stars, isn't 4 stars worth. The territory is beautiful, there is enough space for everyone and by the pool. Breakfast is monotonous, dishes are often oversalted. Dinner is very poor, the choice is small. Plates were dirty. This is not 4 stars. They didn’t even pay attention that the guest had a birthday while staying at the hotel. Not worth the money! I put negative score to take average score down. Hara Ilios isn't so good as it is written.

We arrived at the hotel on Friday 8th July and were allocated a brand new apartment, Initially beautiful but the toilet and seperate shower room had a frosted glass door and you could see our shadows whilst in the toilet you could hear each other doing our business which is not very nice so when we used the toilet one would sit on the balcony out of coutesy. Unfortunately I contracted COVID on the Sunday afer we arrived which wasnt an ideal start to our stay The staff were very sympathetic and our beakfast was brought up to our room by the very friendly staff, Obviously I couldnt use the pool or come into contact with other guests, No complaints there but I went to use the TV to pass the time away but I had trouble working it so I asked reception to help with the TV only to be told that being as it was a brand new apartment and we were the first to occupy it the TVs were not connected up to the antenna or satellite which I thought was terrible seeing as I was restricted to where I could go, So, Hotel excellent location (only 15 minutes from the airport), Excellent staff especially Billy and Dylan at the bar, very friendly and an excellent attitude. Breakfast was OK , had a good choice of food. I never used the restaurant for an evening meal as the price was 12.50 per head but although the choice was very good, My lady and I could not eat 12,50s worth of food so I thought 25 euros was a bit over the top but good for people with a large appetite. On the whole its a 3 out of 5 for us
