From reading the mixed reviews I was unsure what to think . From the minute we checked in the staff were so kind and helpful , The room was super clean The food was delicious and no waiting times The staff were super friendly and always greeted my 16 month old son first The facilities were really good for children from the parks , to pitches , to indoor play areas etc So easy to milk any time day or night and would refill the beaker with no charge The only thing I regret is not booking in for extra night, looking forward to our next stay

Just back from a 3 night stay in this brilliant hotel / what can I say ; only that I can’t recommend it enough. My family had a wonderful time . The rooms were a great big size , so clean , fresh towels daily The pool was great, the kids loved it Food was also great and reasonably priced. There is so much to do in this hotel you don’t have to leave it And finally the staff ; to be honest they make the hotel . I don’t think I have ever seen such fantastic staff . They are incredible at their job . From the reception, the bar staff , breakfast staff, pool staff and the amber park staff they couldn’t have been nicer they were all so professional . They are all an asset to the hotel .

If you are a family with kids and want somewhere to go for a night or weekend away, then hands down this hotel is the place to go. It was incredible. Virtually every aspect was of a high standard. This hotel is primarily for families with small kids. It caters exceptionally well for them and their parents. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and check in was seamless. We were early and it was no bother in checking us in. Our room was the large family suite, which has an "alcove" with four bunk beds and black out curtains for the kids. This wing of rooms is relatively newly built and was amazing for our three night stay. We ate in the main restaurant and Farina, food was delicious, hot and the service was brilliant. Our children had an absolutely fun filled experience. Between the swimming pool, the playgrounds, crazy golf, the karting, the pet farm, the indoor play area, they loved it. There is also a cinema, a kids club and a gaming room. So much for them to do, while we are able to sit down in the courtyard area and rest and relax. There is so much staff in the hotel, across all facilities. We never waited anywhere. Everyone was polite and friendly. Breakfast was delicious also. So much to choose from, and once again, service was top notch and speedy. At the end of our stay, the hotel offered us to stay an extra night at a discounted rate, which we were very seriously considering. It was a great touch. Something I've never seen before. We also availed of the babysitting service. Leona was brilliant. Very kind and brilliant with our three kids. We will most certainly be back again for another stay. My wife wants to return here instead of a particular family holiday venue in Co. Longford! Thank you again Amber Springs. See you again soon.

Family of 4 with 2 children - 1 non verbal autism. The staff were so kind, friendly, very laid back athmosphere while also being a fancy hotel! Sooo much for kids to do all under 1 roof so can go to and from rooms to playa areas etc with ease! Breakfast was gorgeous and breakfast staff great. Lost a star due to burger bar. Very overpriced burgers and not very tasty! Couldn’t fault anything else. Fish of the day from main restaurant was gorgeous. Kids so happy and relaxed -and so was mammy and daddy. The room was amazing too

Myself and my husband stayed for a weekend, we love that they have animals. We had a terrible experience because we saw their animals mistreated. Loud music playing on speakers, the sheep had no grass or food, one was sick, they were obviously not looked after. We made a formal complaint and the staff were not very kind about it. Nothing changes. The animals are still abused and not cared for.

Lovely bright, spacious, comfortable room. Both breakfast and evening dinner were enjoyable although service was a little haphazard especially in the dining room. However, overall we had a positive experience and would stay again on a midweek break. This is a very child friendly hotel with a lovely leisure centre.

We went as a family with 2 girls aged 10 and 12. First tip, My suggestion is that the hotel is catered for younger children, up to 8. Activities would be good for this age group. Lots of buggy’s and babies but to be fair it’s a family hotel.. I don’t normally write reviews but thought this would help someone. The hotel communal areas are dirty. Floors, mirrors, doors, glasses, carpets etc all dirty and in need of a really good clean. The couches in the games room are filthy, not just dirty. The room however was clean, except for the carpet, as was the bathroom The swimming pool and changing area were grubby. My 12 year old, who notices very little about cleanliness said it was rough and ready…. Staff were grand, lots of teenagers running the place, average age 16-18…they weren’t rude but very inexperienced… The restaurant, breakfast and dinner areas were very dirty, including seats, floor, sticky table etc. I don’t need to harbour the point but this hotel may once have been good but it’s well below par now and not cheap either.

Just returned from a 1 night stay here which wasn't cheap either!! I've a 6 and a 8 year old boy and to be honest it's not worth the hype!! One mistake was that I didn't book everything.. yes everything!! From breakfast to dinner to the SEN room etc. My son is autistic, and really could have done with this room , so i was disappointed that we had to book and then I heard afterwards its a 20 euro fee which is INSANE!! The games room which has 6 stools for kids to play PlayStation games is poor and a sweatbox. Given there were 4 boys waiting for FIFA he hotel should really add more games . Extra fee to use this room too. The swimming pool we didn't have to book but it was absolutely JAMMED so we didn't go here. We did the Easter train which was poor but the staff were trying their best. Dinner was nice in the bar. Couldn't get Farina reservation. Anyway, won't be back. I'm sure there's better out there for the price we paid.

I’m reading some of these reviews thinking did these people go to the same place we did???!!! We had the most amazing time here!!! My husband & I took our 1 year for 2 nights & found it to be the most relaxing family experience. We weren’t there for our enjoyment as adults, we were there for our daughter to enjoy herself & for us as a family to spend time together… which is what the whole place is about! I found staff to be incredibly lovely & beyond helpful! We enjoyed all food we had & found food & drink to be very reasonably priced. We booked all our meals in advance which you are encouraged to do via emails received from the hotel so had no problem getting the times we wanted for the restaurants we wanted! It was so great to have so many activities for our daughter to enjoy on site! We did everything we could - including the Easter train experience which personally, I as an adult loved. Our room was clean, comfortable & lots of space! My only slight negative was the €20 charge for the sensory room. I understand it is free for those with a SEN which I truly think is wonderful. But we’ve taken our daughter to many other sensory rooms & not paid any more than €10. I do believe a slight reduction in this would be a good idea.
