호텔 아란후에스 산 호세(Hotel Aranjuez)

My friends and I stayed at this hotel during the San José portion of our Costa Rica vacation, and we thought the hotel was very charming and authentic, and it was pretty walkable from the places we wanted to go in Barrio Escalante. I felt the price was fair for three rooms, and the rooms were generally pretty clean. The only thing was that it could be nice to have a fan or something in the room for when it is hot during the day. The hotel breakfast on the patio was by far the best part of the hotel! It's clearly an old building that is eclectic and has antique furniture, but we thought it made it feel closer to an authentic costa Rican experience. Travelers expecting the standard hilton experience may be disappointed, but we felt we got what we wanted out of it!

Soulful, well-valued accommodations in southern San Jose, within striking distance of the bus stations. Included legendary breakfast-buffet lived up to the hype. Having a shared bathroom was only a small inconvenience. Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant next door. Head and shoulders above anything in the general area. Highly recommended.

I like old buildings surrounded by nature. This place might not be for everyone but it was perfect for me. Tranquilo. Older people. No stupid young ******, parties, or noise. Great free breakfast. Amazing staff.

This quirky hotel in central San Jose is a perfect place to stay. The rooms are large, with well equipped modern bathrooms. Each room is individually decorated, so there is no feeling of staying in a "chain" hotel. There is a wonderful garden in which breakfast is served whilst you watch the birds in the trees. It is a tranquil spot in a tree lined avenue and just a very few minutes walk from trendy Barrio Escalante, with all its restaurants and bars. It is about a twenty minute walk from the hotel to the main tourist attractions around Plaza de la Cultura. One note of caution, there are only two parking spaces at the hotel and I was told that parking on the road outside would result in a fine. You may want to book your parking space with the hotel before you arrive. The service was relaxed and very friendly and everyone was super helpful.

Lovely hotel in San Jose, Quiet and quaint. Breakfast as many have mentioned is wonderful . The front desk staff are amazing and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Now if you are looking for the Hilton, not your place , if you are looking for ecelctic and authentic this is the place

Everything was great except the breakfast, almost all the breads had ants inside the breads! Staff was super friendly and can't complain much about the price, if you are going to eat breakfast though just stick to the hot foods or fresh fruit

We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was clean and comfortable. The gardens were really nice. The best part was the breakfast buffet, which had an egg guy and all kinds of delicious food.

Quirky, which I liked. But had a couple of giant cockroaches in my room!

The décor is very interesting and the outside areas pleasant with mature trees for bird and squirrel activity in the center of a city. It is older properties connected so all will not be perfect but offers a very nice ambiance. One of the most complete breakfast services one will find
