Not the warmest reception, staff provided absolute minimum engagement and information, showed me a QR code where I had to check self in and again fill in everything already provided when booking, given key card and told room number, nothing else provided or advised. Check out more basic, a cardboard to drop key card into. Room was clean and tidy, but required deep clean, thick dust/rubbish on top of high furniture and in less accessible areas. Generally hotel is in really good order but room was a pretty tired and required attention - furniture and decor worn/damaged, weak spots in floor, bathroom fan needs replaced, bits off bathroom trims held on with blu tack etc.

Good stay, the Wee Nairn rooms are really good, some have direct access via patio doors access to the garden, large room, maybe could do with a small fridge, spa area really good and well kept, food was very good, dinner was excellent.

Great place and location. Super quiet with lots of peace to be had. We had a few very nice interactions with the property owner. Room was kept well and very comfortable, they were redoing the carpets one of the days we stayed but it cause zero issues. Reception was also kind enough to help us book a taxi for our journey to the airport.

Whilst not a luxury hotel, it is clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was great and the staff are wonderful. Small bar that could do with a wider selection of drinks but it was adequate for a short stay.

We loved the spa and swimming facilities The evenings meal was delicious ,not too overpriced and the staff werre lovely We had 2 days there so had 2 excellent breakfasts. The only downfall We had ordered a twin room but it was in the attic and only skylight windows!! We were offered a double room with a beautiful view of the garden.the double bed was 2 stuck together,so i said we can split this bed ......so the lovely guy said give me half hour whilst you go and dine and it will be a twin roomAnd it was. So altogether ......excellent ,,,,!!!

Warm welcome at reception, pleasant surroundings, nice facilities which I didn’t use but were available and I had a comfortable nights sleep sleep

The hotel is old by todays standards but the facilities still good and the rooms comfortable. Nice to see many original features retained. Floors above were a bit squeaky but it didn't stop me sleeping. Had dinner and food was good and reasonably priced

Easy & friendly check in. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Hotel set in pleasant grounds with excellent facilities. Slightly expensive but I didn’t make use of the gym or spa as this was a last minute booking after being let down by my original accommodation. If I had have used all the facilities it would have been a good value stay.

Our room had doors leading to the beautiful quiet garden in the back with our own patio area. The room was very warm but staff provided a fan which helped a little at night.
