로즈 가든 호텔(Rose Garden Hotel)

This place has a beautiful property with nice views and in my opinion in a perfect location while visiting Gjirokaster. It's a 5-7 minute walk to the bazaar where you can find a ton of restaurants and they have a short cut to go up to the castle from the back. It took us about 5 minutes to get to the castle and it was a relatively easy walk. The room we stayed in was well decorated and comfortable. Niko and others took good care of us while we were there with anything we needed, whether it was a taxi to our next destination or recommendations for sightseeing or restaurants. The breakfast was simple but tasty (eggs, pie, bread, cucumber, tomato, cheese etc)

The most problematic part of our stay at the hotel was getting there. We had completed some research on the location before arriving so we knew the approximate location of the hotel. When approaching Gjirokaster old village it is best to approach in an anti-clockwise direction. Be prepared for narrow and windy cobblestone streets but at least once you do get close to the location, there are some helpful direction signs. On arrival there is ample car parking and via back steps taking you past the swimming pool it is only a short walk to the centre. We booked a deluxe room which was lovely. Very large with huge sofa as well as king bed and great views over the town, Great shower with very nice soap. Everyone is very friendly. The pool is a big plus, plenty of sunbeds to relax around after a day walking around the old centre. Breakfast the following morning was a set meal but very substantial with omelette, tomato, cucumber, dough balls, fresh fruit, cake, bread, jam and coffee.

Gorgeous setting right below the castle with a spectacular view. Lovely pool, super comfortable and spotless rooms and most attentive and accommodating staff and manager. Nico is terrific! And we were a group of 29! We had such a wonderful stay and hope to come back.

This should be the number 1 hotel in gjirokaster! It is perfect, the pool is a sanctuary after a hot day sightseeing. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff are excellent, so helpful and friendly. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful. It is up a very steep hill so make sure you drive carefully and have good footwear. Only 5 mins to castle uphill and 5 mins downhill to bazaar

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful place on the mountain. The restaurant en room was nice and clean. Also the view was fantastic and there was airconditioning. The swimming pool was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and de cook was very friendly. All the staff was very very friendly and very service-oriented, that's make our stay pleasant. Even the dogs are friendly and cute. Thank you very much!! The city was very nice and authentic. And just above the hotel you can visit a castel with a great view.

1. Hotel The hotel is beautiful and authentic. Made of old stone. There is a very well kept pool and seating area with stunning scenic views of Gjirokaster and the surrounding mountains. 2. Rooms The double rooms are comfortable and spacious. With a great bathroom and walk in shower. The aircon working when you are out to keep the room cool is great. The Smart TV is an added bonus. 3. Location Located in the mountains it has amazing views of Gjirokaster and the surrounding mountains. Which can be viewed whilst relaxing at the pool and at the seating on the platform whilst eating breakfast. It is 2mins walk to the Castle and the Bazaar. The ideal location. It has free on site parking. 4. Staff The staff are exceptional and went beyond and above to accommodate us. They washed our clothing at our request in 12hrs turnaround. This was despite not actually having the facilities to advertise this as available to guests. I suspect the staff did it at home. They didn’t request any payment. Although we provided a tip out of courtesy. They ordered us food to the pool and brought over complimentary watermelon and water afterwards. 5. Overall This was our best stay in our whole trip to Albania. It is a beautiful hotel, rooms, pool and location. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

Beangstigende rit naar boven, maar écht de moeite! Parkeren is geen probleem. Prachtig hotel- prachtig uitzicht! Vlakbij centrum dus ideaal gelegen. Mooie kamer met goede badkamer. Zwembad in de zomer. Prima ontbijt dat aan tafel wordt geserveerd, maar met voldoende keuze. Een aanrader!

Nagenoeg tegen de onderkant van het kasteel van Gjirokastër aan ligt dit geweldige hotel. Na eerst door de zeer smalle en steile straatjes omhoog gewurmd te hebben word je door Niko opgevangen. Tip: niet op Google navigeren, maar via Kaarten (iPhone). Niko is een topgastheer. Superrelaxed, regelt alles wat je wil en is erg vriendelijk. Rose Garden is een geweldige plek om te verblijven. De locatie is vlakbij diverse restaurantjes en wat ik al aangaf op 2 minuten lopen van het kasteel. Het heeft een fijn zwembad waar je op het warmst van de dag heerlijk rustig kunt bijkomen van de indrukken van het mooie stadje Gjirokastër. De kamer is ruim, het bed kraakt een beetje en het ontbijt is simpel maar volstaat. Al met al is Rose Garden een aanrader.

Wir buchten dieses Hotel spontan während unserer Rundreise und waren begeistert! Den guten Bewertungen kann man nur zustimmen! Schönes, neues Hotel, sehr sauber, top Lage (direkt unterhalb der Burg und nur wenige Minuten zum Bazar und den vielen Restaurants) , super nettes Personal! 5 Sterne in jeder Kategorie! Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!!!
