호텔 쇼팽(Hotel Chopin)

Hotel Chopin provides a very basic spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Room 28 is on the backside, but that is near the busy ringway. The isolation rubber of the window needs to be repaired. Not closing properly. The cushion was too small for me. The matras is protected by some plastic covered under the sheet. The height of the shower was too low for me. The noise kept me from a good night sleep. Breakfast starts at 7.30, but the very friendly staff proposed to prepare it at 7., which was anyway too late for me. It is typically a hotel for when you need to take a train next morning. But I would look for a hotel which is on a quieter spot. There is no supermarket or small store nearby and neither in the station, strange. In the neighborhood you have trattoria Mario for Dinner. I personally don’t recommend it. See my review. Not expensive, but not very good either.

Perfect location just steps from the Plaza Principe train station and a short walk to the port. Nothing fancy. Just the basics: Comfortable bed, warm shower, toilet and a solid breakfast. I would especially recommend for a short stay in Genoa or an overnight stay before your cruise ship leaves.

Excellent price/quality ratio. Perfect location nearby the railway station and the international busstop. Very friendly and helpfull desk. Providing a good map of Genoa with all the information you need. Good breakfast. Clean room. So, what else do you want?

This hotel has everything! The location was perfect right down from the train station, very easy to locate. The lady who checked us in was so very helpful! She gave us a map of the city of Genoa and highlighted areas we may want to visit while in town, plus she told us they were known for Pesto and recommended a restaurant down the street. We went on her city walk and ate at the restaurant and it made for a perfect evening! The room was very clean and had all the amenities we required. The next morning we were greeted by a gentleman who served us a wonderful breakfast and we had a fun conversation with him as well. Sadly we were only there for an overnight stay, but we would have loved to stay longer. The staff was so friendly and helpful and for the price, it was one of the best deals we found because the room was quiet, clean, roomy and the location to the train station could not have been easier.

Great location near cruise port and train station. Room was fine and clean I don't know European standards for hotel service but I was there for 2 days in my room was never cleaned or towels exchanged or anything like that. Probably the worst night sleep I've ever had the beds were extremely hard and the pillows were like rocks. Good security. Great location.

The absolute best location for convenience to bus and train transportation. The front desk personnel were fantastic. The room is in need of repairs and updating. The area is busy; lots of traffic.

The staff is always there if you need anything. They also speak German, the service is very complete. I like the old architecture of the building and the location of the hotel is extraordinary. I was very satisfied.
