Love this hotel. So much we returned again this year. Think I should try and put people off so I always will get a room but that would be very unfair. The hotel, garden, eating areas, public spaces, pools, food and most importantly all the staff are very (very) good. This is an Oasis you go back to after a day enjoying Madeira or you just lounge around. You’ll find what suits you. If I had a suggestion though it would be to give some areas a little refresh now, especially bathrooms in the Garden rooms. Don’t get me wrong they are not bad but probably time for some work. Altogether a big thumbs up for this Quinta Happy to answer questions as well

If you want a restful stay on Madeira in a well-appointed Quinta set in delightful, extensive grounds with excellent staff, here is your place. Nothing is too much trouble for the reception and serving staff, who are both efficient and friendly. Our room was comfortable with direct access on to a private terrace leading on to the lawns, perfect for sunbathing. Gym, sauna, jacuzzi, spa treatments and library all complement the gardens with their interesting variety of trees and shrubs, many labelled for added interest. A full range of catering options, from a buffet or cooked breakfast through day time drinks and light meals right up to evening fine dining, plus room service. The Quinta is some 10 minutes by taxi down into the centre of Funchal, with its museums, restaurants, harbour front and madeira wine centre.

This hotel is like home to us. There are few places that we visit about which we can make this statement. The rooms are all furnished and maintained to a high standard, the restaurant provides food to an impeccable standard and the service is as you would expect attentive and sensitive.

Everything about this hotel is fabulous. The gardens are amazing and the staff can’t do enough for you. We had a premium room and it was spotlessly clean and luxurious, to us. The bathroom was huge with a bath and shower cubicle plus his and hers sinks. The buffet breakfast was always very good but we only ate at the hotel once and didn’t venture into the a la Carte restaurant. The food we had was delicious. We celebrated our birthdays and silver wedding anniversary while staying and were presented with cake complete with lit candles and a glass of sparkling wine at breakfast. We later got back to find a bottle of fizz and plate of strawberries in our room. Such a wonderful touch which made the day very special. The only downside was the hill that had to be tackled to get back to the hotel each day, we certainly came home fitter. We most definitely would love to and hope to stay at this hotel again.

We visited to for 1 week booked under easy-jet for 1 week at the end of Jan. The hotel is a small hotel with a personal touch. The standard of rooms and facilities are excellent. We didn't eat at a-la-carte restaurant but the "normal restaurant" food was excellent. The hotel has a real sense of tranquility with just lovely gardens. The main pool was supposed to be 25 C that's probably a bit generous it was a little cold the smaller pool was a more reasonable temperature. This hotel (in my view) is only really suitable for couples - not family's not that they would not be welcome its just not that type of hotel. We can see why people come back year on year for the relaxing atmosphere. (But I'm not sure id recommend Maderia for familys its not that kind of place - its best suited to people whom like walking and the countryside).

The most beautiful gardens at the Casa Branca provide a wonderful setting for the accommodation. The main Manor House has suites one of which we were lucky enough to stay in. The accommodation was furnished in a style that suited the building, was very spacious and tasteful. Well thought out additions like a beautiful flower arrangement, homemade biscuits, fruit, a coffee machine etc. The Dining Room restaurant was on the floor below us. An interesting menu but you also had the option to dine over at the Bar a few steps away, lunch or dinner which ever you prefer. There was outside seating and more views of the garden. Breakfast was buffet but hot food was ordered separately. The buffet was excellent and set in the conservatory with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are very pleasant and always have a smile for you. Special thanks to Cristina for dealing with a problem which occurred in the Manor House and the very generous gesture that was made.

What a treat to escape the dreary UK weather for a piece of paradise in the warm sunshine. We loved our stay so much we booked to return for New Year 2024 - it was that good. The staff are all lovely (especially Jennifer, so warm and friendly, great customer service). Loved our breakfast each morning on the outside terrace, lovely views and great coffee. I had the outdoor pool to myself most days - maybe a bit fresh for some but fine once in. The jacuzzi was nice, and plenty of gym equipment if walking up and down into Funchal isn't enough to keep you fit! It's not a short walk but pleasant enough going down. It's easy to get a taxi back at under 7 euros. Can't wait to return, this place is a real treat :).

A lovely hotel set in mature gardens. Old tradition meets modern facilities. Great staff, location and food. This is our 4th visit to the Quinta da Casa Branca, it and being December the Christmas festivities and lights are in full swing in Funchal. A charming and relaxing hotel.

This was our third visit to the Quinta and our seventh holiday on the island. The hotel is immaculate and provides a haven as well as a great base for walking and touring the island. As a bonus there was the annual flower festival taking place. The staff in the hotel are attentive to every need of guests and we were treated to a tour of the hotel's grounds and its spectacular trees worthy of any arboretum in the World. We were also invited to help irrigate the banana plantation and to meet the hotel's team of gardeners.
