I was given a room with a bed with a broken leg… they told they could fix it, obviously they didn’t. Asked to see the manager, I was told by the lady at the des he was very busy because, well he is the manager, and he might not have time to see me, the client. Eventually he (Ivo) came, gave me a worse bedroom (without a desk), when asked if he could get me an upgrade he answered he was still open for reservations and couldn’t give me the room in case it could get booked. The room’s window faces an inner courtyard that you can hear the bar….

from the moment we arrived at the reception with my wife everything has been just great ! The welcome and plenty of warm and little attentions from the reception team ! Rooms : beautiful and clean! Lounge very cauzy Breakfast: amazing and with an interesting variety ! Bar on the rooftop top ! We had the chance to have place to a FADO evening organized by the Team of the Hotel with a dinner on the rooftop bar, quite a moment ! The Reception Team has also thought to a gift for the birthday of my wife, unexpected and very welcome, compliments !!! The last but not the least important, the lady taking care of the preparation of the cakes at the hotel, Adriana, prepares amazing cakes ..and gave us time to explain her amazing recepees ;-) so, our evaluation, is a 12 on 10 !!

Amazing location for all that Funchal has to offer. The terrace bar has amazing views with both cocktails and cocktails that were delicious. The rooms we kept very clean by the housekeeping staff Overall we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff.

The location in the centre of Funchal by the cathedral suited us perfectly. The staff at the front desk always greeted us with a smile. The guys serving in the rooftop bar did a great job. Breakfast was excellent and with plentiful choice. Would definitely come again.

Wonderful boutique hotel within walking distance of everything. The Breakfast buffet was the best, and the staff could not have been any more pleasant and professional. Great rooftop bar where live music is played at least twice a week. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel, well situated in the centre of Funchal, just a couple of minutes from the cathedral. The staff were all very nice. Breakfasts were excellent. We didn't like the glass walls and door separating the bathroom from the bedroom - we prefer more privacy.

Great location and the front desk staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. They made good suggestions for dinner and day trips. I observed them being warm and patient with every guest who came to them with a question. They even packed up a breakfast for us because we had to leave so early.

Stylish and quirky hotel right in the centre of Funchal. Stayed with my daughter for 1 week. Staff were so friendly, welcoming and lovely. Loved the food, rooftop terrace, nd great location. Had a great break. Standard room met our needs, good size bathroom.
