Having stayed in many Premier Inns in the past, including this one, I was disappointed with this visit. That said, nothing but praise for the staff, with a special mention for Garry, Lyndsay and Spencer. Far too many small errors, which could be easily resolved. Poor management.

The hotel is average, but the staff went above and beyond to make my stay a good one. They are friendly, professional and efficient at providing a good service.

Premier Inn generally offers a known product. Our recent staying Shrewsbury however was not usual... The room was astonishingly hot and impossible to get a good night's sleep. With windows " secure " and air con locked to a low of 19 Deg, it was impossible to get anything like a cool room. Staff first suggested they would " adjust " the settings remotely... Which is not how a shared HVAC system works, then found a fan to move the warm air about. ... but it didn't address the fundamental problem. Why can't you just open a window these days? Or at least bd given the option of turning heating below 19 Deg

I paid £90 for me and my husband and from the start of check in it was terrible. We arrived at 2:30, went to the desk to check in and they wanted an extra £10 for early check in...half an hour, check in itself was terrible and stressful then the room was awful, wallpaper hanging off the walls, wall filler not sanded or flush at all...stuck out soo bad, the windows don't open and air con temp only goes down to 19... just awful woul not recommend

Have stayed here a few times, and this was a little disappointing. The room smelt musty, and the bathroom light did not work. We then found the bathroom fan not working and damage to the hair dryer. These items were sorted by the manager. Breakfast was also not as good. There seemed to be a lack of staff and quing for food that was often not available. The staff that were there were friendly and helpful.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was up to the normal standard. Parking was easy and only 20 metres from the rear entrance. It was good having a late check out the following morning (12-00 ) The restaurant was ok, had a long wait for food, but did not get charged. Breakfast was buffet style and was good. Would recommend.

Stayed over for a football game and was overall very satisfied with the stay. However in room 317 there were a few small holes in the shower pipes which meant that it sprayed everywhere making the entire bathroom soaking.

Perfect location very close to the rail station and all the town centre attractions. Easy check in and out, comfortable room, and the all-you-can-eat breakfast kept me going on my long journey home. Reception staff were pleasant and efficient, but at breakfast I had to wait a little too long to be seated, and the staff were largely absent thereafter. Had to rely on other guests to show me where things were, which was a little disappointing. Otherwise, it was a very satisfying stay here and will very likely use this hotel again when I return to Shrewsbury later this year.
