The hotel itself is fairly comfortable and clean, but service was way below average. Late night front desk man was very short with me (the wife) but much nicer to my husband after he walked in. Then at 6am after a very short night's rest, 2 women in grey scrubs (which I saw later this is the housekeeping uniform) were having a VERY loud conversation right outside our door for over 10 minutes until I told them they were being loud. Upon check out, my husband and I were going to let the front desk know about the loud staff members. The woman at the front desk looked at us and turned her back to head into the back office - no acknowledgement whatsoever. We waited while she had a personal conversation with someone in the back office; she started to come out again but again continued her conversation while standing in the doorway with her back turned to us and several other guests who started to line up in the lobby waiting for help. Absolutely atrocious service!!!
The turntable in the microwave was missing, rendering the appliance useless.
I worked in the hotel industry for 10 years (front desk, reservations, and management) so I am fully aware how difficult it can be to do the many various jobs required. But if staff in this "hospitality" industry does not offer the simplest of service and kindness to the guest - the very people keeping the lights on and the doors open - you need to get new staff. SO unlike any other Best Western... we won't be back.
