We have stayed at Sunny Lane several times, and keep coming back. Year after year. Such a peaceful place, even though it’s just steps away from the main street in Franschhoek. The bigger unit (they have one big and one smaller) is spacious and well equipped. The place is also very discreet and private. Barbara (the owner) is there if you need her, otherwise she let you do your own thing. One huge asset for us is the garden and pool. Being there during the summer means a cooling dip in the lovely pool is essential. If you’re looking for a self catering place with a central location, this I can highly recommend!

We were just tucked up behind the main road in a studio room. Had everything you could want and more. Great pool, cold, but that’s how I like them. We could easily walk into the Main Street to choose from the plentiful choices off coffee and food outlets after shopping in the many boutique type shops. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent proximity to main street and all major facilities in Franschhoek, a very warm and consideratr host and beautiful place to sleep at and stay in during the day!

Our 2 week stay here was perfect and great value. Barbara was quick to respond if we needed anything. The unit was really spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed, including an inverter and gas stove so that we hardly noticed the loadshedding. We loved having our meals on the patio! A short walk to town so very convenient.

Arriving on a warm evening, and after dropping my bags, it was a quick drive (or I could have walked) to the nearest grocery store to find supper. An alternative would have been one of many restaurants I passed, from casual to chic. Back "home", I found the patio/porch the ideal place to sit and unwind. It is quiet and secluded. There was a welcoming basket of shortbread to nibble with my evening tea (an assortment of tea and coffee was available, along with fresh milk in the fridge.) These thoughtful touches made me feel so welcome - Barbara is a wonderful host.
